Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaJust be aware that street parking is limited to 3 hours from 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday; you have to pay to park during this time.. You can pay to park at Mount Hood Railroad--$15 for 24 hours, which is very close to the hotel. Also, there is not a fridge or microwave in the room. The staff is glad to microwave something for you (they did my popcorn), you just have to go down to the front desk for it. These "negatives" were not problems for us, just mentioning them in case they're things that matter to other guests.
We were in Hood River as a base for spring wildflower hikes. The location was great: close to good places to eat, easy freeway access. This historic hotel is nicely decorated with some fun touches, like little nooks in the hallways with art supplies. Room was comfortable. They warn about noise and provide earplugs, but even though noise sometimes bothers me, it wasn't a problem here (didn't need the earplugs). Staff were friendly. My husband enjoyed the live music Saturday night.

United States of AmericaThe train but I knew it was part of the package and it wasn’t horrible. My husband snores louder than a train, so I was happy. The carpeting was very cool, but I felt dizzy with the few transitions that were between flights/levels. The toilet seat was super low… get those quads in shape.
Our room was perfect for an overnight in Hood River. Comfortable bed, beautifully furnished and designed. I liked that it was funky, not in a bad way, but a FUN way. The central lobby was welcoming and hosted a diverse crowd of travelers.

Spain(1) window partially open and couldn't shut it (stuck) so had to keep heater on all day. (2) would have liked to use desk as a desk but it was completely covered with snacks for sale.
Extremely nice lounge with fireplace in the early morning. Hot water for shower.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is historical, so one should understand that the rooms are relatively small (at least for a family with a child) and the bathroom is tiny. The bathroom amenities need a bit of fixing. The carpets gotta be changed as well
The location could not possibly be more convenient! Right in the heart of the HR. The staff was super helpful and the hotel is dog-friendly. The Lobby deserves separate compliments - the fireplace and hang out area are magical for the evening to relax! They even had a jazz evening downstairs during our stay. The cafe is also a real treat!

United KingdomIt is quite close to the railway, so the VERY long trains which rumble past will keep light sleepers awake. They even provide ear plugs along with the shower gel.
The hotel and staff are a delight, as is the cafe next door which does an amazing Scandinavian inspired menu. Great position on the main street too.

United States of AmericaSmall bathroom facilities (but this is a historic hotel). The woman at the desk on arrival was awful (actually made us laugh about it as we went to our room).
