    Nothing!

Friendly & helpful staff, bed was ok, if you needed sheets or towels etc. you only had to ask! Restrooms were way better then I hoped (with all these people). But for me personally one night was enough, i’m used to be on my own

I didn’t get much sleep, since one of the other guests was coughing all night long. Also, the window didn’t open which made it very stuffy.

The bedroom is a little too dark and it didn't have any chair.

The only downsides are the ones typical of a hostel: 1) you can't being guests back, 2) less privacy (although guests there are very respectful and quiet), and 3) the beds aren't super comfortable (but not uncomfortable).

Excellent location near Boston Common. The hostel is much newer and well-designed compared to others. The kitchen is phenomenal and there are great lounge spaces. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beds are pretty standard but the rooms are definitely above average since 1) the lockers are much better than is often the case and 2) you get a nook/shelf by your bed so you can store stuff there, charge your phone, etc. Bathrooms were clean and great. The free breakfast each morning was surprisingly good. It was better than continental - I was impressed that it had greek yogurt.

The water in the shower was cold. There were not a lot of good knives in the kitchen to cut vegetables properly.

Lockers are big enough to put a backpack in there. This hostel is in Chinatown close to the subway. The staff was really kind and available. The breakfast is well-stocked and delicious (fruits, cereals, oats, bread, pancakes, etc...). There's something for everyone! This hostel is really great !!

    — obviously it’s harder to sleep in a room with 5 other people, but it can be done with noise canceling AirPods, eye mask, etc

    — the cheapest hotels were literally $600/night when I went. I’m grateful that this place exists for $70 — also really nice kitchen / community facilities

i didn't like the bathrooms. i think they would benefit from being divided up. so, for instance, a few big rooms with nothing but mirrors and sinks. a few bathroom with just a sink and a toilet, and a few rooms with just a shower. that would take a lot of pressure off. sometimes all you want to do is brush your teeth and wash your face, and you don't want to have to go into a full bathroom that's been used by a ton of other people. also, i thought the bathrooms could have used more surfaces to put a bag or a suitcase, for instance. since it was hardly ever possible to turn the light on in my room, because there was always at least one other person sleeping, i had to take my backpack and my suitcase into the bathroom every time, and i was unpleasant, since i could put them on a rack or whatever, and always had to open them on the floor, which was sometimes wet.

    - the location is unbeatable, fantastic. - i didn't have breakfast at the hotel. i'm a vegan and it didn't sound from what the person at check-in was saying that there would be much for me to eat, so i never checked it out. - the room i was in exclusively to sleep. i saw it with the lights on only once in four days, and for only a few seconds. the bed was very comfortable.

Some members of the staff were not so accomodating. Beds are only 189/190cm (6ft2 /6ft3) long, as someone taller than that I would have really appreciated it if that information was clear on Booking.com.

The immediate district and walk from South Station is in a rundown part of town… it gets much better as Boston is explored!

Clean, central, private room was basic and good value for money.
