The motel is being transformed into a Motel 6 which is fine. I do miss the carpets however, but it would not deter me from staying there again.

The bed was a bit lumpy, but manageable. I wonder if the refrigerator was working properly, as it was constantly on. Never quiet.

Wall-to-wall carpeting always feels less than clean. The blanket on the bed was rather thin. The coffee at breakfast was in a thermos and fairly tepid.

The staff was pleasant and the room was very quiet. Especially since we stayed there over New Year's Eve we were impressed by the silence. The breakfast was good overall.

I w as told they would match the price I was given on Booking.com if I just paid in person, this wasn't exactly the case. They gave me a discount, but not fully what Booking.com offered. We also had a mouse in our room.

A strange man hanging out on the property night before departing, looked like a pimp or a drug dealer. Day of departure a sweet very young lady peeped her head in my door as we were loading up asking for fentanyl. It obviously wasn’t the hotel’s fault but it was slightly disturbing to experience. She then sat on the grass in front of the hotel and was gone before we drove out.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful, cleanliness was great- maid changed my sheets when I asked, beds were comfy and nice linens/pillows, affordable, location is ideal. Stores are very close by, Dominoes right next door had great pizza and fast service but you have to pick it up.

I didn't get to stay, because I paid in full online..so I was broke upon arrival and the motel6 guys said they need a 100 dollar deposit..in wich I now did not have.

If possible, just change the checkout time to noon ! Some hotels already do this. I utilize hotels about 8-12 times a year, and about half of the ones I stay in have a noon checkout. But, all of the hotels that I have stayed at in the last five years except for one in Ukiah have granted me this favor. I won’t be staying at that hotel. (The one in Ukiah) - I think it was the Windham brand, and I do avoid those now, because of this issue. I will go back to all of my reviews and look, and change this for accuracy, if the website allows me to do so. Other than that, Nothing was wrong with my stay at Motel 6, and I liked everything ! Martinez is such a wonderful town.

Yoshi was really great, patient, and kind. He got my key card to work ! He also honored my request for a slightly later checkout, as I have sleeping issues, and I have a hard time getting it together in the morning. I managed to get out of the room by 11:15 am. The housekeeper only knocked once, right at 11 ! Everything was great, and the remodel is going well. I loved the separate sink area, the coffee station, the microwave, the best hotel refrigerator that I have ever encountered, a very nice heater, good block out drapes, clean bathroom, sheets, and of course an enjoyable television. I really like being on the first floor. (There was) plenty of parking, and I could park right outside my room. I will return !

The manager refused to accept a copy of a previous ID I had after my real ID was stolen in Bakersfield on the train/bus ride to hotel. Bad customer service and needs the work on cultural sensitivity regarding working with indigenous American customers.

The staff here a very pleasant and understanding of my families living situation. The maids are great as well. I like the location and the breakfast is an added bonus. The breakfast area and lobby are always kept very neat and clean. Definitely a great value as far as the cost per night. Also one thing I do really appreciate is the fact that it is quiet. By that I mean the people they provide rooms for don't cause problems or seems to be on any type of illegal stuff. Most places like motel 6 and cheaper hotels that my babies, husband and I have stayed at thru out our current situation seemed to have had a lot of that in this area. I haven't seen that here.

I am in the middle of moving and had stayed here for almost a week, a week prior to this stay. Near the end of the week we saw a mouse in our room, but brushed it off When we were checking out this time, at the last minute we were informed that because of a stained towell(s) from the previous stay, they would be keeping our $100 deposit. They gave no other explanation, and had no receipt to show where the $100 actually went to. When I pressed to have a bill of sale, the person at the front desk, Grant, became irate and was yelling about how he would do anything for this job, even die for it. I decided that his "dedication" wasn't worth the effort to get a receipt and thought cutting my losses was best. I won't be going back, I didn't realize that a 1 star Motel would keep $100 towels.

Typically the staff there are great, hectic and loud at times, but friendly.

I loved everything about our experience at the motel especially about the hospitality of the staff and the room cleaning staff, I just wish the weather was hot enough for us to use the swimming pool, lol
