Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaHonestly, the sheets had a small burn hole, and the drapes had a large melted spot. I booked an ADA room with a king size bed. What I got was literally the tiniest room in the entire property with either a full xl or standard queen bed. When I tried to confirm my booking a week out from my stay, the phone number was forwarded to someone's cell phone that they never actually awnsered. I kept looking up different possible phone numbers for the property (through various 3rd party booking companies) and the only phone number that was actually awnsered belonged to their corporate office. The gentleman I spoke to begrudgingly confirmed the date of my stay. When I asked if my room was ADA compliant he stated that it was a standard room as their possible ADA rooms were already booked (despite me making the reservation a month before my stay). My disability makes stairs difficult for me on a good day so I asked if they could at least put me in a room on the first floor. So I guess that's probably why I got the smallest room despite paying additional for a larger room with a larger bed and a bathtub. Well, I did have a bathtub but it's was rigged so that it couldn't be filled. So when I had to bathe myself it was by taking a shower - the whole time being fearful that my legs would give out causing a fall. Thankfully I didn't fall. So those were the negatives.... now on to the positives. The property is in the perfect location, and it actually quite cute! Despite the hiccups, when we arrived the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The property was modern, stylish, and clean in a safe area. I'll definitely be booking again, but next time I'll be book8ng with the property directly and requesting a specific room number, so that I'm not paying extra for the smallest room. Again, it was a good visit overall and the positives definitely out weighed the negatives.
The location is 2 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from downtown, and 10 minutes away from sea world.

United States of AmericaThe bedroom felt stuffy as if there was no air circulating moist out. The AC seemed to throw chunks of what looked like dirt out at some points and there was no full length mirror which is very much needed on a trip.
The staff was very kind and made checking in super easy, location was good too right across a good coffee spot and close to alot.

United States of AmericaThe first room number & key card given was to a room someone else was already occupying. Luckily nobody was in the room when I opened the door! Also, I had to drive down the street to a different location to check in & get key card.
1. Cheapest price I could find in San Diego for 4 adults & 2 children. 2. Close to airport.

United States of AmericaCleanliness was a bit questionable, but no major concerns. During booking, we were able to reserve and received confirmation for a room to sleep 3 adults & 2 kids. However, we were assigned a room with 2 queen beds and 3 towels. Fortunately, my kids are small enough, we were able to squeeze and fit everyone in beds. And, we could’ve easily asked for more towels. Instead, we had the little ones share. It was fine.
Love the location. So close to all our favorite spots. Minutes up the road from our favorite neighborhood beach, Kellogg’s. It’s the perfect spot for families just outside of the harbor and across from Shelter Island. You definitely get what you pay for in terms of comfort, amenities, and aesthetics. However, it was a steal of a deal and perfect for our family’s bare-bones needs—a place to shower and sleep.

United States of AmericaThey tried to cancel our booking about a week before our arrival. They told us the hotel was overbooked but the multiple websites were still taking reservations for Hotel Aqua Mar. I had to call multiple people to resolve this issue.

United States of AmericaThe rooms definitely had a "smell". Had to have the room door and windows open for about an hour to air out. Seems they do long term stays? There were guests who had their laundry and shoes hung out and laid in the parking lot to dry. Other guests sitting outside in parking lot in lawn chairs drinking.
Room was clean. Quiet even though we were on a corner lot. Price was affordable. The air worked very well which was appreciated since it was warm out.

United States of AmericaRoom too small, no closet, no hooks at least to hang clothes that were sitting on my luggage and making obstacle course, for 18 rooms I think can afford shelves, no dresser room too small, iron everything basically you get, from other hotels, the thing that is surprising shock room too small!! Less for more, more for less, get what you pay for and I get the impression they know!!! Location not bad at all driving distances very short, tv programming+++, bed comfortable and bedding ok, room is in good condition the one I stayed at least, this is about the third hotel I have stayed where management is India dessent running less for more, I promise that truth not racism but common pattern attitude more for less , less for more, cutting amenities, this is the first hotel I experienced a too small room walking around obstacle clothes piled up not table or shelves at least hook, something to take care of clothes or store clothes!!!
Very broad channels to watch movies, bed and pillows restful accomodations, location not too bad, early check in and late check in the water pressure in shower
