Nothing to complain, honestly.

We enjoyed our stay. There is nothing to complain. Rooms were clean and tidy. Quiet area and good location with only a 5 minute walk to the beach and city. Complimentary water during the day which was quite nice.

Bathroom fans are noisy as heck, but it’s fine

What I did not like has nothing to do with the property. What I did not like and did not appreciate was using your service and NOT getting the rate promised and then leaving you messages and discovering that you have NO customer service and don’t even return calls or messages.

I love the property very much. The members of the staff are wonderful. The beds are comfortable.

The decor in the room is a little dated but we focus more on how clean our hotel rooms are than how pretty they are. This room was very clean!

The room was very clean including the bathroom. Everything worked and was well stocked. Lots of lights and plugs including for chargers on both sides of the bed. WiFi is good. The guy checking us in was very welcoming and offered clear explanations to our questions. The included breakfast was excellent and the person working the cafe was very friendly.

Didn't realize it wasn't within walking distance of anything really. My own fault for not checking, would consider staying here again tho if it fits our itinerary as the price was much better than other hotels in the area.

Staff was helpful, it was clean. Hot tub was great! Nice that there was a free EV charger.

we were with my 87 year old aunt, and weren't given good instructions for how to get to the second floor room with the least walking. There turned out to be an elevator in the center of the building, but we were told to drive to the other side of the hotel and use those stairs.

The room was very nice. Comfortable and clean. We had a great view of the ocean. It was nice to open the patio door and site on the balcony. The cafe was convenient and the food was good. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The only point that was uncomfortable to me was that the hotel driveway was only available on the road from north (southbound). When driving from south (northbound), you have to make a u-turn at a signal. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Good location, fancy interior with a fridge&freezer, microwave, and a coffee maker. Cafe was in the hotel garden and breakfast was prepared on the request. Bottled water and other snacks were available there and also at the reception. I arrived a few hours earlier than the check-in time, but they offered me a room. Other employees (room cleaning and facility maintenance staffs) were all friendly and nice. I want to spend more time at the hotel on the next time.

Nothing great.

For all who live rural nationwide but need quality medical care come to scripps La Jolla. This best western is in Del Mar almost a straight line and 10 minutes in a car to surgical and other facilities. Then so wonderful to see ocean as rest usually is required. Or for a beach surf trip. They have a small restaurant on site. Cool pool hot jacuzzi. Nice staff which is huge. Only reason I give a 9 is hotel has all kinds of nations flags surrounding building. But no Amaerican flag. Maybe I missed it. I’m not perfect. But I would like to see a flag higher and light up at night.

The AC unit in the room should be cleaned. It works, but the first few nights had a dust smell.

The view from the room is amazing. The size of the room is perfect. The staff if courteous. Fridge, coffee, extra sink, all very practical. Beautiful location, makes it very easy to visit so many other places in the area

On site cafe advised our initial check was wrong and issued a duplicate. However, initial check was not made void and we were charged twice.
