Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We asked for a wake up call but did not receive one. I believe the phone was not working as I tried to call the front desk but could not get a dial tone and that may explain why we did not get a wake up call.
We did not eat there. Room was comfortable enough nothing spectacular. No coffee pot.

Minimal coffee available. I had only one small reg coffee pod per day in my room, and I was surprised to find no coffee in the lobby throughout the day. Also, there was no EV charger for my plug-in hybrid.
Clean, nice rooms, Turner Classic Films (TCM) channel available.

room was good. stay was for 5 nights and notes in the room says they will automatically service the room after 3 nights. never happened. I had to request service on the 5th day. when they did refresh the room, they didn't clean the tub. ALSO - when I booked the room it was for 5 nights (Thursday through Tuesday) at $125/night. When I checked in, they charged me an extra $250 for Friday and Saturday nights?

Room was not cleaned for 3 days . Thankfully we had made 2 bookings separately. 2 days Plus 3 days. Both bookings- no cleaning, changing towels or sheets or even clearing garbage. Repeated requests yielded no result. Understaffed I believe!
Location - couldn't be better for us since we did not have a car. Walking distance to concord bus station and a few steps from the local bus stand. Explored whole of Portland with the buses .

Older furnishings need updating. Toilet paper was cheap and wasteful. Cheap one-cup coffeemaker. Restaurant is only open for breakfast. Elevator is very slow.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The heating and cooling system worked well. Good TV reception. Large, comfortable bed. Oversized easy chair/sofa combo. Good wifi reception. Quiet room. Free airport shuttle.

Having to pay $10/day for parking instead of the under $6/day at the bus lot - which was full.
The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and personable.

It would have been very convenient if the restaurant was open for more than just breakfast. Hot tub was dirty and needed more water in it.
Location to the train station. Rooms were very comfortable.

Lots of noise/drama in the hallway late at night. Felt a bit sketchy.

The hotel breakfast/ coffee service was closed on Monday , January 15, for Martin Luther King Day. But no notice that a small complimentary coffee/ morning refreshment would be offered in a very small room off the lobby.Had I not walked out to get something from my car I would not have been aware of its availability. They could have added a notice of it along with the notice of the closed breakfast service.
Did not use the breakfast service. But disappointed that the Clarion does not offer complimentary coffee at least in the mornings. The in room coffee maker is inadequate.

The bottom and back of toilet was filthy.. Curtains were filthy as well. .. I LOVE this hotel, may have just been an off day...Will definately go back..

There was a major construction project going on in the room next door to me that wasn't disclosed. After checking with the front desk they said there were no other rooms and that would be finished that day. Continued for another 2 days.

They gave us the wrong room even though we had booked months in advance and tried to give us breakfast to make it up. Ended up making it right but it was a frustrating process. Overall an alright stay.
