To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe price was a little high for just a place to put my head at night, but as you can see we paid it to have a nice, clean room. Secondly, not having an elevator when bringing in luggage was not a pleasant experience. I had requested ground floor when booking, but we did not get one.
Cleanliness, location and furniture and fixtures, were maintained and not appearing old as many lower end hotels have been (i.e. Super 8).

United States of AmericaI left my phone number as I was checking in as per required. I also left my box fan. I was in Grant's for 4 hours after I left hotel and nobody called to tell me I left my fan? If something was wrong with the room, I'll bet I would have gotten a phone call. Hmmm

United States of AmericaDid not have an elevator. Appreciated having a refrigerator in our room, but all of the soda was frozen when we woke up in the morning. Toilet plugged the first time we used it - front desk brought a plunger very quickly, but told us to take care of it ourselves. (Told us if we had any further problems, let him know right away. I did appreciate that. And it was resolved after plunging the toilet - but we had to plunge it again in the morning.). We never tried the breakfast.
Quiet room, bed was comfortable, heater worked very well. Room felt safe and secure. Front desk was very nice.

Our stay was enjoyable. We were extremely happy with the location and all of the amenities including the surrounding area. Our room was comfortable, clean and large. The staff treated us excellent. The only drawback was that our room was on the second floor and it was difficult to get our suitcases upstairs. We sure could have used an elevator! Thank you Quality Inn staff. We plan to return again.
