Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast didn’t include eggs or any meat. We only had waffles, cereal etc.
Great location with a Texas Roadhouse across the street that we walked to. Very comfortable beds and pretty soundproof rooms

Towels and soap/ shampoo products could have been better for price paid per night
Breakfast was the standard continental offering: sausage patties, eggs ( one day they actually looked like real scrambled instead of the microwave-patty that was served other days) waffles, etc

The bathroom appeared to have water damage at some point and was painted over. Even though the bathroom was clean, it made it feel not so clean
The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Was perfect to stay the night while we visited JMU. Nice and close to the University

Not a room to stay in and hang out.
Excellent budget motel, close to JMU. Fantastic beds, good shower, gree breakfast, great location. Really inexpensive.

An extra roll of tp would have been good...the one on the holder when we arrived was nearly gone, and we finished the other one that was in the room.
The nice, big fridge and extra clean bathroom were my favorite things! The bed was okay...I always prefer more pillows than a hotel offers, but that's just a personal thing. The breakfast was pretty good...the eggs were cold, but one of the employees came out to apologize for that, once he realized the warmer wasn't turned on.

Being so close to the ice/vending machines and elevators and being on the second floor. I heard all the hallway noise and noise above me. Also, the TV was painfully slow to change channels. You press the button, then wait and then it changes and then you have to do it again.
All staff were very pleasant and friendly. The gentleman setting up the breakfast was outstanding! He kept everything well stocked and clean and was very kind and polite and went out of his way to ask everyone if they needed anything or if they needed help. I hope the hotel tips him behind the scenes. Maybe you could put a sign up or a tip jar? He did a GREAT job and should be compensated properly as food wait staff.

There was some mold on the bathroom ceiling. Otherwise, the room was very clean and comfortable and will definitely be back

The girl that handled my check in was not very informative. She handed me paperwork and said "I need your credit card, initial the papers and sign''. After she gave the room keys, I had to ask her, What Room? How do I get there? Maybe she was having an ''off '' day. I booked online, so overall, check in was quick.
I like that there was a continental breakfast included. Although I did not eat anything, the selection was good.

Cleanliness of room. Dirty food stains on night table. Clothing was left on chair seat under the desk. Obviously, the chair wasn’t moved to clean. Light bulb in lamp broken and clock didn’t work. Uncomfortable pillows.

The bathroom (toilet and shower area...the sink is outside of it) was a little tight. The breakfast area could get a bit crammed.
The room was a decent size. The breakfast was adequate. Overall, it's a good value when compared to other hotels in the immediate area. Coffee was always available.

The toilet seat fell apart while we used the toilet. The breakfast and breakfast room were disasters. It is too small for a normal number of customers. There was hardly any food available by 9 a.m. Awful quality. Not enough seats or tables.
