Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I can't think of anything that we did not like. Our stay was very comfortable. We would come back again.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. Bed was comfy. Even though we were on the ground floor, the room was quiet. We included breakfast and it was hot, fresh and cooked to order. If you are going to Disneyland, Hotel Lulu is only a short walk to the gates. Very conveniently located. I really liked the mid-century modern vibe.

The bathroom was clean but their toilet flush was like a volcano erupting. We had to keep the toilet seat cover down when flushing so we wouldn’t get hit by toilet water. Not sure if this was the same for all rooms.
Location was perfect for a trip to Disney.

Nice to have the pool open until late 10 pm; Pity not the one with Disney fireworks show view as I expected, while good to have a pool view instead.

The room above us was stomping around a bit when we were trying to sleep.
The room was comfy and it was a great stay. It was quick and easy to get checked in and out.

I found the bed to be uncomfortable and the parking fees were high.
The staff were friendly and the hotel was nice. It was a short 10-15 minute walk to Disneyland.

Pillows were not very comfortable for me. Mini fridge didn't quite fit where it was, so it was difficult to open and close the fridge door. No complimentary breakfast.
Close enough to walk to Disneyland. There is also a parking lot behind the hotel where you can get dropped off by a bus from Disneyland. Free complimentary cocktails each night for adults is a nice touch! We also had a view of the fireworks from our room. Mini fridge included.

I would not get a room next to the exit door and elevator on the 1st floor. Very noisy. We didnt get any rest until after 2am. Then kids screaming a curdling scream early. Guests dont concern themselves to be considerate to other guests.
Room was nice and clean and the staff was super awesome!

The ridiculous cost! The room was like any of the others we had stayed in during the week that had charged, on average $100. You, same accomodations, 3 times the price. NO brew coffee in the room. NO bellman help with bag's. NO hot tub. Why so expensive?
The refresher drink when checking in. The free parking while visiting. The breakfast dining experience. Our room was clean.

Communication with how much it would be for parking. I also wish that they would've told me the other hidden fees before I booked that ended up being more than what I was expecting to pay.
I liked that I was walking distance to Disneyland. I also liked that there was a kitchen that was open when we arrived. We decided to go to happy hour when we arrived and ended up having a good time while there.

The heater wasn’t working and the room was so cold.
Good customer service. I would have given it a 10 but the heater inside the room wasn’t working. I let them know and it wasn’t fixed other than that it was a very good place to stay.

I didn't like how confusing and unclear the parking was. I never received a receipt on breakdown for parking and just had to take the front desk receptionists word.
The receptionist we spoke to was very welcoming and accommodating. We also liked how close the hotel was to Disneyland.

When we arrived, we were then told about the parking fee, and when asked where to find it on their site (since we used booking.com) we were told "you need to look at external hotel sites before you book". Not very good customer service

Price of parking, but that’s expected.
Check in was quick and easy. Property was fairly quiet despite being full of families with small children. Staff was great and attentive. Water in the shower/bath had great pressure and got really hot.

Didn’t care for the girl in the front desk. She was just not very happy with her job kind of rude when I checked in kind of seemed annoyed when I was asking her questions about breakfast about how much it would cost. She just looked very annoyed and not happy with her job
