Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Staff were not particularly welcoming. Breakfast is very minimal, and the breakfast room can only be accessed by going outside and entering through the office. No tea, just coffee there and in our room. All this is nit-picking : we would definitely stay here again. But bring some tea bags!
Clean and comfortable room at a great price. Good location. Superb Indian restaurant next door at the Days Inn.

Housekeeping daily, not optional. Not necessarily bad, but be prepared to take your pet out while they clean. During my stay, there were a lot of construction workers who were relatively loud in the evenings - especially on Friday/Saturday. Our room had a very slow draining sink and the beds are well worn spring mattresses.
Pet friendly, rooms are extremely clean and facilities are decently maintained. The location is pretty central to Southern Pines so a lot of food delivery options are available. TV and internet services were both good.

The beds were okay, not great. The shower was okay, not great. The heat was not turned on when we entered room.
It was very basic, old, a bit worn but very clean with a small frig and microwave and easy to plug in phones. It had A place to walk our dog. Big counter in bathroom.

The drinks in the drink machine were hot and no diet drinks were available. Also, the last two nights we stayed the people in the room next to us made lots of noise in the middle of the night, banging on doors and yelling.
Looks like the room has been recently updated. No carpet which is good. Housekeeping comes everyday, brings fresh towels and makes the beds, etc. The outside of the building and grounds look clean and tidy.

The main thing was the breakfast.

Very limited breakfast. Three kinds of cereal. A few sugary small donuts. Plus an open container of batter to make waffles. Unsafe as you don’t know had had washed their hands or carried germs such as open coughing making a waffle.
Breakfast items were minimal. Plus instead of individual cartons if milk. It was a gallon in the refrig. Not sure thats appropriate. You don’t know who used the milk before and they could even be Covid infected orcsny other contagious germ.

Towels are very small and thin. There seems to be a leak in the bathroom (between toilet and sink)but we could not find where it was coming from. Other than that, the room was clean
The front desk lady is very friendly and efficient. Location is convenient, just off the highway; the property is well-kept. We did not have the breakfast, but coffee was okay, and available nice and early.

The room while clean is a little run down. I think in general the property could use a little face lift. Nothing serious, but the drain in our bathtub was rusty for instance. The juice machine with the free breakfast maybe needed cleaned out? It was watered down. Again nothing serious.
Excellent location. Minutes away from grocery stores and restaurants. Staff is absolutely wonderful, they are very kind, friendly and accommodating.
