We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaRight away we could see handprints.. dirty handprints on everything. Dirt piled in corners. Furniture was broken. The fire detector was disconnected and when asked them to connect they said they would be down in 15 minutes and never came. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We needed a handicapped room and the shower chair was broken and rusty. The towels were dingy and had a funk to them. We ended up leaving a day early and still waiting for the return of our deposit.
The people were nice.

The location was good. The breakfast was good. The parking was nice.

United States of AmericaThere was no elevator and they charged an extra $60.00 for potential room damage. They told us as long as the room wasn’t damaged, they would credit our credit card. But only after they inspected the room. My husband and I are not a bunch of drunken frat boys. We do not damage hotel rooms. This fee and the fact that there was no elevator should have been disclosed on the booking site. If it was, we would never have stayed there. We left the hotel hours ago and the $60.00 credit has not been applied to our credit card yet. Plus they need to mow the lawn/weeds out front. The exterior property looks terrible.
It was convenient to the freeway and restaurants.

Most of the breakfast was ok, the things that needed prep were questionable.

United States of AmericaThe hotel bathroom door had damage. The bathroom mirror had black circles on it. One of the comforters had dried blood. Another comforter had like dried liquid/food and not enough room to maneuver in the bathroom. And no fruit in for any of the breakfasts. Outside had tons of dog poop and cigarette butts and trash on the ground.
The staff were patient and willing to help when my card got deactivated for some reason

The booking was not clear about this I would have NEVER agreed to be in a smoking room. The hotel knew this right away when we checked in apologizing and blaming it on the 3p booking.

United States of AmericaAfter checking in, I received the key to the room and was told where it was located. My wife and I went to the room to find that the security lock (latching stem) on the door frame was loose about to fall off. The screws were very loose. I had a paper clip and was able to turn the screws but could not tighten them. The bottom screw was not tightening at all even with a paper clip. I called the front desk (Joe) to ask if there was another room that I could get transferred to and Joe said "no." I then said well we will not stay here feeling unsafe. He said then we could leave. After hearing that kind of answer I asked for a cancelation refund and he said he was "not" going to give me one. I told him I was going to call CHOICE and he said "call it's OK, do whatever you want. I'm not going to give you back your money." He said "the door latch was fine," I told him no it is not. He said "you don't need the safety latch you can use the deadbolt." I told him just cancel me cause I'm leaving. He said I can just leave. After I left the lobby, I went back in to get a receipt for $80 refund and I saw him going to the room to check for himself, so I followed him and video tapes him moving the latch and then me moving the latch to show him it was NOT safe. He said "take all the pictures you want. Take pictures of the hotel, I don't care I'm not giving you back your money." We left after all of 10 mins being there including talking to Joe.
