Didn't like the light coming in the window at night when trying to sleep as I am a light sleeper and need the room to be dark when sleeping

It smelled like stale cigarettes. I was plugged up all night because I am allergic to cigarettes.

The floors needed repair. As a self taught carpenter I could immediately tell the floors where install by a team who didn't seem to know how snap in place flooring is installed. As a result, the floor had a major disjointed seem which I tripped over multiple times. The floor also had something on which resemble melted chocolate splatter, so I didn't walk around bare foot as the floor was unclean. Two towels were available, one of which had the last users hair on it. The coffee pot had a visibly broken top, so I didn't use it.

I didn't know there was a breakfast so I when elsewhere to get breakfast.

The state of the rooms left a lot to be desired. The door to the bathroom was broken, only one bath towel and a floor towel, no washclothes or hand towels, the TV remote didn't work, and the in room thermostat did not work.

The motel was in a great location. There are two major bus lines that stop less than a block away that run into downtown , and several restaurants and bars in walking distance. All the rooms had a patio, and balcony for upstairs rooms

The shower curtain had a hole in it, the sheets had lint, and there was no conditioner or creamer for the coffee.

It was easy to drive up to the room, and the front desk staff was nice.

1. No Breakfast 2.Outside the property was not clean especially the corridors on the outside. 3. Cigarette butts all around and also leaves/dirt everywhere 4. At check out time , the staff went absolute berserk, I left my room around 11.10 am( approx. 10 mins late), between 10.45 and 11.10 am, i was asked four times when i would be vacating the room as such. Not that the staff were rude as such but such behavior is kind of annoying. Most choice properties offer noon checkout but not this one. 5. This property seems to attract the rougher type of clientele. 6. Security in the property especially late at night. Homeless people could be seemed walking through the property 7. Clerk at the time of check in appeared to be sullen and stressed out. 8.There were two air conditioning units. One was a vintage piece from the Dinosaur days. But neither could cool/ Heat the room properly. Initially, the room was hot and suffocating/hot for the first two hours and turned into freezing at night and woke me up. 9. Pool was closed/ Not maintained. 10. No security guards, etc.

1. This property has improved somewhat since my last stay but only marginally. However, it still falls way short of most Choice/Econo Lodge standards 2. Location is good.

I moved the bed closer to the wall so my son didn't fall off and there was a sticky mess all along the bed and it needed to be sweeped. The beds were not comfortable. Around 4am a man was screaming to leave now.. woke my mom and I up, Thankfully not our kids.

The grounds on the patio side were nice. The price was perfect for a short stay last minute decision.

For the low price I paid, I shouldn’t have expected more, but the room was quite shabby in places. There were cigarette burn marks in the sink, and the whole place smelled faintly of smoke. The air-con was virtually non-existent - little more than a fan blower.
