Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The toilets in the lobby area were not kept clean.
Great location with tram car stop right out the front. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely rooms, clean, large and great in room amenities, nothing is too much trouble for staff.

Nothing really
Location in garden district with street car stop in front was very convenient. Loved having a parking garage for our car. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was helpful.

Nothing that we didn't like.
The hotel was easy to get to. They have garage parking that they lock up at night, but you can still get in and out. We didn't use our car at night, so check with them. Loved the room!! We got a room with a separate seating area and it was perfect for us. Will definitely stay at this hotel on our next trip. The St. Charles streetcar stops right by the hotel.

Would have appreciated a microwave in room. Also this hotel doesn’t have a large lobby or any eat-in facilities. Not a big deal but you have to plan to eat in your room or in a restaurant.

The lobby is clean and well decorated, just not very warm and welcoming. It would be nice if the restaurant/bar was operational to help liven the atmosphere.
Clean, nicely decorated hotel, very large room with comfortable king bed. Relatively small bathroom, but adequate with a full-size walk-in shower. Good water pressure and temperature. Secure parking in an on-site garage is a big plus and one of the main reasons I picked this hotel. Located at the southern (eastern) end of the Garden District. Very good location on St. Charles for the Irish Day and Mardi Gras parades. Walking distance to Magazine Street, cable car to Downtown if you desire. Many good restaurants within walking distance, street car or short drive.

Our room was next to the street so it was pretty noisy at night, but the sound machine was a great help!!

The mattress was hard but doable. You can smell there has been some water damage. The owners should replace the carpet and look into getting rid of the mildew smell.
The staff are all very nice. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are large.

This property is located on St. Charles close to restaurants and bars and offers free parking. Not many hotels offer this perk. It’s a small hotel but the service was very friendly and the rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. They don’t serve breakfast but there are places to find breakfast nearby. I would stay here again!

The restaurant within this location was not open. However, I wasn't sure if it was only open on just the weekends.
This location is wonderfully located. It is just far enough from Bourbon Street to not hear all of the partying, but close enough to wonderful shops and eateries. We walked the majority of the time, and New Orleans is so pedestrian friendly, it's refreshing. This location is right on the trolley line too.

Someone let their 5 children run and play outside our door in the hall while they went somewhere? not the hotel's fault, poor parenting, but the hotel should probably add a statement saying children in the hotel must be with a parent at all times

We had an issue with our booking and using a debit card. The hotel took two payments which took a lot of time to sort out with the manager. We established that debit cards could be a problem and that when booking in the staff will now advise the customer to use a credit card. Marcia front of house was very helpful and seeing that the process had caused us much stress arranged for us to be fully refunded for our stay as an apology for the issue.
Great location on the tram route into town. Big comfortable rooms and staff very friendly
