This hotel is a unique property with fun/ quirky wall paper/ murals in the rooms and lobby area. The rooms are a bit spartan, but I liked that. Large windows brought plenty of light into the room, the fitness room was small but adequate, and conveniently, there is a there is a Starbucks attached to the hotel. The location made for easy walking around the downtown area. I’d definitely stay here again.

The showers were fine for us, it didn’t bother us at all, it’s only a half door and it gets water everywhere but it was whatever, they gave us extra towel, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel I don’t think if I needed a lot of “get ready room” the mirrors aren’t super easy to use and there’s no fan in the bathroom so anytime someone showered it makes the room very humid. Also, the complete lack of signage in the front lobby is pretty bad. The check in “counter” is not a counter and looks like a hostess booth for the restaurant. And when the elevator doors open every single floor looks exactly the same and there is stairs but they aren’t marked at all and are hard to use.

The rooms were sweet. We knew we would be spending most of our time in the room so we wanted some space. Room was very open and nice. The staff were super cool, the room was clean, the rest of the hotel was also super clean. We liked that once you get your keycard that’s what you need to get around and it prevented a lot of unnecessary foot traffic. Andrew at the front desk was cool as heck.

I paid extra to have a park view but we had a view of a apartment 20 feet from us and had to close the curtains first privacy.

It's too close to the "ugly parts" of Portland. We tried to walk downtown for dinner, but regretted our choice. The restaurant in the lobby closes very early.

Close to everything, has restaurant and full Starbucks on site. Trolleys and bus within the block. Short walk to downtown shopping and many cafes all around. Park Cafe exceptional food and very close.

Our first night we woke up at 3am due to the smoke alarm. We were informed it was due to the batteries that needed replacement, but can only be done in the morning. We had to request for room transfer since it kept on beeping every few minutes.

Location was great, just a short walk to our daughters apartment. Plus walkable to Powells bookstore and Deshuets brewery. Beds were very comfortable and our room was really big.

Lack of counter space in the bathroom was a challenge for 4 people. Also, one person size mirror in bathroom was not enough. The only other mirror was the full length mounted inside the closet which was of no use as an alternative place to do hair and makeup.

It didn’t personally bother me, but I worry about how her actions reflected poorly on the hotel. As I was checking in @ 4 PM, a waitress came up to check-in staff, interrupted our conversation, and asked if he could quickly find a local nail salon for a restaurant guest. She used the F-bomb in her conversation. Later, she was working the bar and appeared to be high/intoxicated. One guest came up and asked her if he had properly taken care of her last night (inferring did he remember to tip). Her response was, “At least you could have spit on it first.” When she saw my raised eyebrow, she asked the patron if he’d heard her, to which he replied ‘No’. I am in no way a prude, but there is a time and place for sexual banter and within earshot of other guests is not appropriate. The room door had a big black greasy handprint, which I thought, how could they miss that? The floor was also sticky.

Other than the woman running the bar, the staff was very nice and provided updates. Room was very spacious. I REALLY liked that the shade blocked out all lights for sleeping.
