We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Pool gave me a rash all over and my hair still smells like chlorine...I usually don't have issues so maybe the chlorine levels were a bit high?
Breakfast was great, room was a good size for the price, staff was very nice. Room was comfortable.

Pool room is a little dark and hot tub wasn't working properly.
Staff is very welcoming and ready to make things as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is the best, it's what the kids remember most each visit! Fitness room is small but does the job, great to have as an option. Laundry facilities came in handy.

Five-minute drive to downtown St. Joe with a large beach, splash pad, and food. There was also access to a smaller beach behind the hotel (approximately a three-minute drive).

Breakfast area was too small. Could not eat together so went to a restaurant. The next day another area to eat was opened up so it was possible. Very aggravating. Staff seen us looking for a place to eat, why wasn't it opened??
Perfect location. Very comfortable room. Was able to get all of my family, 3 rooms on same floor near each other.

The room was not as clean as I would expect. The white sheets and towels had stains.

Some of the furniture in the room such as the couch and dressers were a bit worn and tired and could use an upgrade. Lobby, pool and dining room was very nicely appointed and well stocked.
The employees at this hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out and went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met whether it was extra towels, toiletries, room keys etc. Marcia was our hostess / attendant for breakfast and was very nice and accommodating. We arrive for the free breakfast about 30 min before closing and she made sure we had enough of everything before cleaning up. Upon leaving my son forgot his backpack in the room. Thankfully we weren’t even out of the parking lot yet when one of the staff members found it brought it down to the front desk and alerted us so he could go back and claim it! That was a real life saver!

The hot tub appeared to be dirty, so we chose not to use it.

Breakfast was not that great. There wasn't any spray for the waffles, so they stuck, causing my teenage daughter to burn herself.

The staff/clerk Assigned someone else to my room! My belongings were in the room, and I was locked out. Had to go to another room! And I learned that you have to request housekeeping, or your room will not be automatically cleaned.

Breakfast is just not the greatest. The side door was a little difficult to open. My husband has to pick up and move a huge limb that was down blocking the side walk.
We loved the spa tub. We loved that there was a cracker barrel right next door because the hotel breakfast is just okay. There is a Meijer across the street which is great! And only 10-15 minutes to st Joseph! We will definitely be back!
