To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaYou definitely don't feel safe, people walking around outside all hours of the night, people sitting in vehicles watching people. As soon as we got to our rooms we saw one roach in one of the bathrooms alive, the pull-out couch bed doesn't have a sheet and the mattress is nasty, we had 2 rooms both rooms were the same situation. I wouldn't count on being able to use it. The Wifi is absolutely horrible, we couldn't connect any of our devices to it after successfully signing in so we ended up just using hotspot.
Night Staff was really nice, I liked having access to the full kitchen although this visit we didn't use it. The location is nice, easy access to the beltway.

Staff called Friday am to confirm we were still coming but failed to inform us the elevator was not working. Upon arrival late in the evening they offered us to stay elsewhere but it was too late to find another hotel.

Well I got to the location the manager had a very disrespectful attitude and when I got to my room I had left to come back from work they stole my property out of my room so clothing and cleaning products and I asked to get my money back they refuse to give me my money back.
