Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Day time staff will not tell you this, you have to be in your room to receive any cleaning or towels. I showered used the towels twice, tossed them outside for pick up, asked for more towels, they said oh yeah, you have to ask before 10am, but did not mention us needing to be in the room to receive them. However the night shift is lovely and found me some towels and trash bags so I could shower after 4 days with no towels in Las Vegas heat. The floors in the rooms will turn your feet black in a second, bring slippers to wear walking around. The bathroom was not clean, the walls had splatters of who knows what on them, and the shower had dirt on the bottom of it still.
Cheap, no resort fees, not terribly far from the strip, good AC and hot water.

The service. Some people at the reception were unfriendly and disrespectful. When I asked them for an iron, they demanded my ID as a bail despite the fact that they already had my $100 as a security deposit and they had a copy of my driving license. As a result, I was deprived of the iron, because I would never exchange my ID for an iron or other item even for a short time.

No microwave, no small refrigerator. Carpets and upholstery on chairs was stained and dirty. I asked to upgrade our room but was told they were all like that.

The bathtub was dirty, with a used towel hanging from the shower curtain. The room need to be cleaned a little better.
Very good location, just a short walk from the strip. The bed was comfortable. Check in very easy.

It was very dirty. It was very run down. The carpet was disgusting. Overall it was just very dirty. There was no bugs but it was very very dirty. I will never stay there again

The room I had stayed in was supposed to be a non smoking room and upon entering it for the first time, there was a heavy cigarette odor. It is inconveniently located in behind other buildings where visibility of the hotel from the street is minimal. The walls are very thin as I could hear everything going on outside and in the room above mine. The shower in the bathroom looked as it had not been cleaned in quite some time. Upon check in there is also a refundable deposit that needed to be paid which was never mentioned prior, during, or post booking the room. The two upsides were that the staff was very friendly, and the room was cheap.
