Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

Would have liked breakfast to start a half hour earlier (at 6:30 am) so I would have felt comfortable eating there, but I needed to get luggage checked for my cross-country train trip.
Walkable location across from AMTRAK station was biggest advantage. Came in late on the Coast Starlight and left the next morning on the California Zephyr. Actually thought the bed was better than the one I had at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach!

Of course it’s right by Oakland so you might need 2 security to patrol the parking lot. I’m not racist or anything but when I got there and checked in. There was hella black kids just hanging out in the lobby

The cleaning staff for the rooms. It was obvious the floors/carpet needed vacuuming, but they never vacuumed. We had to wipe, pick debris off the floors.
Great location, walking distance to mall, restaurant, Trader Joes. Breakfast was adequate. The restaurant staff was excellent! Constantly removing dishes & cleaning up vacant tables. The rooms were large & spacious, with convenient full kitchen. Lots of parking.

The room was clean but the scent was overwhelming and made it hard for me to sleep. I could hear the loud noise and talking in the room next to me.

You have to rely only on Uber, but it is not due to Hotel, it is due to California Transport

The primary seating couch was not particularly comfortable. The $200 cleaning deposit seems unnecessary.

Breakfast buffet was poor , not very tasty and not very hot. Took $200 security deposit on check in and took over a week to repay this after checkout

Despite having a microwave oven, there was no table ware to eat with, had to keep asking. Also, was not informed of parking fee, perhaps an error with both Booking.com and the hotel.
Overall value, nice accommodations, nice room decor.

Difficult to get to from train station as the only way is to cross the crosswalk and getting to crosswalk is via elevator which was disgusting. Not hotel’s fault, just could perhaps provide a better walking route

More selections (meat)for individuals who don’t eat meat( beef or pork) like Turkey link or sausage (turkey). Nice breakfast for the value.

The temperature of the room was always off by a few degrees.The food there. Stale bagels, and evening food made us stomach sick.

The sleeper couch in the room has seen better days, as has the thin mattress for that sleeper. The breakfast could have had another level of variety and quality to it, better pastries, riper fruit, that kind of thing. Also, I miss the days when a room would come with a complimentary pen...I really needed one, and had to go scrounging in my child's backpack. The parking rate per day is outrageous, especially with so much space...literally hundreds of spaces next to the Public Market.
The room was spacious, and we had all the utensils in the kitchenette we needed. The location was good, very close to the Public Market, but it was also ON TOP of the Emeryville train station, so there was nighttime noise I could have done without. Luckily, they gave us a white noise machine in our room to drown out that distraction. The free breakfast was totally fine, scrambled eggs, a protein, fruit (always still frozen), cereal, coffee, and tea. Something for everyone.
