Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This pet friendly hotel has a great location. We loved our very spacious king suite room, the delicious made to order omelettes in the morning, the super friendly staff & the wonderful pet play area across the street. This will be our go to hotel when visiting Charleston!

The property was great!! It was clean and comfortable. We didn’t like the price. It was over $300 a night!!
The hotel felt fairly new and was very clean. I love that we could bring our dog with us.

Staff was pleasant and accomodating. Pool was clean and nice (salt water). Beds and linens were comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variety and was very tasty.

Room size was a bit small for the $ we paid (compared to many other good hotels on our 3-wk trip)
Excellent bed, coffee/tea maker in the room plus microwave. Bathroom also very clean and with lovely products to use. Nice to have a sofa in the room as well. Ample parking on site Fantastic staff both at front desk and at breakfast, happy, helpful, and welcoming.

Room was a little small for cost and bathroom was tight. Shower pan looked dirty and AC did not cool that well.
Breakfast was good, could have been a little longer duration during the week. Coffee was good and always available as well as a selection of teas.

The only thing that was a tiny bit of an issue was the location was not that easy to find but once you find it, it’s no problem and it’s great because it’s not laid back here. It’s very quiet and close to everything.
The property was updated bed was very comfortable and the front desk staff were upbeat neat and very friendly

Other than breakfast there's no other meal available. There are no restaurants in walking distance. There were microwavable meals to purchase but the hotel has such great space that a low key deli/grill would be awesome!
This was the best hotel breakfast ever! Three days in a row it was great. The staff on every shift was so friendly and helpful. The places was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect to get you the tennis tournament and into Charlestown to sightsee.

My only comment for future hotel guests is that breakfast finishes on different time during the weekend (10:00 a.m) than during the week (9:00 a.m.) which caused us to miss breakfast on Monday morning and we were not the only ones missing it. Ladies in the kitchen/breakfast area were very nice and still made us the pancakes, even though kitchen was already closed. This is the only little thing that could have been better communicated at check in.

We wish the breakfast was offered until 10:00 am.
The breakfast was okay; nice to have the option before heading out for the day. The location was perfect for so many places (stores, gas, main highway to attractions) but quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle.

I had to get maintenance to do something to the refrigerator because the first night the noise was really loud.
Close to Walmart and East Cooper Hospital.

The weather...lol
Breakfast was delicious, it had a great variety, the plus was the omelet station & the chef was great and he always had a smile & ready to help. The front desk people very nice, all the workers in general were hard working & the place was spotless all around. We love Hyatt Hotels
