Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of America1) Attached parking to the building was full 2) We were then offered parking offsite at the next sister property Hyatt Place for $20 per night instead - 5 minutes drive/ 8 minutes walk however, we then ran into issues with the parking key as we were not able to exit, there was something wrong with it (even the hotel staff at Hyatt Place checked and said we'll have to ask Hyatt House for a new key). However, after we had followed these steps, even the new key still didn't work, we only spent one night so it wasn't a big deal but this could've probably been annoying for anyone who stayed multiple nights. 3) Our hotel room was very well stocked, only minor thing was one of the automatic button to the window shades was broken. But this isn't as a big of a deal since there was still a manual string that you can use to close the shades. 4) Unfortunately, we got stuck in the elevator for a good 30 minutes and had to wait for Fire Department to come let us out. And due to this the remainder of our trip, we had to take the stairs (luckily we were on the 3rd floor) but for those who had higher floors had to either wait forever for the 1 working elevator or take the stairs
Update - The General Manager did reach out and offered to fully refund us the parking for our inconvenience and also discounted our room by 50% due to the elevator incident. Hotel Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the 2 queen beds suite with kitchen, so it was very comfortable. The 8th floor sun roof is a plus for sure, very beautiful city view at night given that the hotel is right next to the Space Needle and basically in the heart of downtown Seattle.

United States of AmericaOur room looked out at a bunch of graffiti and abandoned Lime bikes. Sadly, this is how it is in much of the Seattle now, so I guess it can’t be helped.
It was near the attractions we wanted to visit. The rooms were stocked with things we needed and breakfast was wonderful with lots of seating. Also, the staff were very warm and welcoming for the most part.

MaltaThe staff communication following our stay was very poor. I noticed a charge on my credit card of $90 days following our stay. I contacted the hotel 4+ times via phone, every staff who responded indicated that they would “have a manager call me back to review and get rid of the charge”. This unfortunately never happened. I was provided an email address to the GM, I emailed him 1+ month ago and have still yet to receive a response. I was unable to dispute it through booking.com so I was hopeful the hotel would reimburse me for the charge but they have been poor with responding. Will not be booking again for this reason!
Enjoyed the location and comfort of our suite ! We loved the breakfast as well! Overall, a lovely hotel.

CanadaWell, I think I shared this already but maybe the floor in the washroom could be either warm of with a different type of flooring. Basically the idea is to reduce the cold temperature there. Specially when you leave the shower when it's hot.
Good variety of food and well served. The staff was there all the time to make sure the guests were findin what they wanted. The waffle and eggs were pretty nice! Nothing better to start the day eating well and with a good view of the Space Needle.

United States of AmericaI may have missed the info (if it was even provided by Booking.com) about the refindable $50 "EACH night" of our stay. The "Each night" was a surprise, as I was easily prepared for a one-time deposit, but each night in the moment was nearly a hardship on what we'd been able to budget for trip expenses. I wish this policy could be revisited since my experience with other places has it for a set amount (not per night).
The front staff was wonderful. I appreciated the helpful information & answers they gave me to any questions I had. Each person I encountered was very friendly & professional. I felt valued & welcome.
