Breakfast was really good, but very congested. We stood in line for a very long time, so when I went to get my coffee a few minutes before closing, they had taken the coffee away. Didn’t expect for the coffee to go until they closed the doors. Not a big deal as we only allowed 45 minutes for breakfast not knowing it would be so busy. I’m sure on a non-holiday weekend it wouldn’t have been a problem. I did notice after I had gone out and grabbed a coffee that there was coffee in the lobby. I didn’t know that that was there, so this really isn’t a negative, just an awareness. The only other negative was the pull out bed. Mattresses on those are usually thin, but it was very lumpy and uncomfortable. However, we were appreciative to have an extra space.

We really liked the location, vibe of the hotel, ease of getting checked in and out, and the room was nice and clean. We drove so pulled up in the alley way next to the hotel and they allowed us 15 minutes to check in and drop things off before we parked. The person there was very friendly. Loved that there was a Dohm sound machine as that’s what I use at home and it was a pleasant surprise. The shower was very powerful which was fantastic! Body wash, shampoo, and container in the showers. I never use those but did this time. They exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was very good with many options. The hotel was very clean and safe. All the staff that I encountered was very friendly. I enjoyed having the lights from the buildings in the evening. I loved my view from my bed. So appreciative that our view wasn’t a brick wall. We have had many brick wall views in the past.

Beds are uncomfortable. We were there for two nights. I don't think I'd be able to stay there much longer from tossing and turning at night, not sleeping well. Breakfast, while good, was very crowded.

Staff were friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. Location is excellent, with many eating options within walking distance. Shower pressure is amazing. Room is more spacious than most basic hotel rooms.

We stayed in a "king" room -- king size bed with a pullout couch. It was great having the area with the couch to sit on separate from the bed. There was a small partition between the bed and the couch area, which was also great. The breakfast provided by the hotel was magnificent.

The breakfast was horrid. Just nasty. I am positive you guys have had many bad reviews about that breakfast. You definitely need to do something about it.

The location and the hotel was very good. When we checked in we requested a high rise with a good view. They managed to give us a good view on the 10th floor which was good enough for us.

There was loud banging in the hallways during the later evening hours. Someone seemed to have spilled some strong cleaning solution on the hallway floor.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast was nice but I've had better options at other Hyatt Place locations. Location was very convenient and close to major points of interest.

Parking, parking, parking It’s not specific to the hotel I hear it’s a Chicago thing The Valley parking app makes it easy to call for your car but the car drop off area is close to ( almost seems shared ) that of another hotel so it could get chaotic when trying to park or get your car

The concierge was awesome . He was very patient, went out of his way to get additional information for me.

The view from my room was less than ideal but to be expected in downtown Chicago.

The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location can't be beat for the value and the hotel was lovely. Having EMA in the building was the super bonus!!

I had asked for room cleaning and did not get it the first day. I called to the desk and someone came up with towels and coffee supplies. Not as good as having a clean bathroom and made bed, but a kind effort. In the day I was leaving I had to wait 5 minutes for the elevator. I called the desk and they must have figured out the problem. No harm done.
