Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Did not like the pool was small but great for kids though.
Like there's complementary breakfast with the stay. The front desk staff was great. Oh yes can't forget the wonderful flavor water as well the free cookies.

The AC unit in the room, was LOUD, as in very loud. Breakfast could use an omelette station and bacon...
Front line staff did an excellent Job - Zafar and Mikiase were ready, helpful and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable, spacious.

We booked this hotel as is had an indoor pool however the pool was ice cold. I’ve never been to a hotel with an indoor pool so freezing cold

There was a woman at the front desk who was quite rude and not very helpful when we asked her for help riding the bus.

Breakfast was adequate in content but completely chaotic. There were too few tables available for the size of hotel & the placement of food, which forced the queuing system was really badly thought out. I don't think the time breakfast was open helped very much either. (7.30 to 9) Would have been nice to have been able to open windows in the room & the room had little natural light. (Difficult for make-up application, apparently) But these were minor matters & didn't distract from an overall great stay at The Hyatt.
Staff were very welcoming after a long journey and offered us an upgraded room as we were there for a full week, which we could access the following day. When I asked the same member of staff the following day about the room upgrade she had offered, she was very dismissive & short with me, so we stayed in our original room, which was fine. Every other member of staff from reception to cleaners to catering staff were helpful & engaging. The place was beautifully clean all the time & is perfectly located for easy travel around the city, both for walking & using public transport. Huge room for 3 & sofa bed was pretty good. It would have been palatial for 2.

The pool was under maintenance and we were told that upon arrival. Could not use the pool the entire trip; disappointing because we booked this hotel under the assumption the pool was available.
Location was great. Breakfast was adequate, but crowded; food needed to be replaced more frequently. Room was comfortable but desk light was flickering and was not fixed.

Broken pool

Over 5 days the quality and quantity of breakfast offerings actually declined (the first day was most diverse with fewest available items the last day).
Good location. Comfortable bed. Breakfast included meat, eggs, fruit, cereal, bread, pancakes or Fenchel toast, roasted potatoes and juice. However on a few days there wa no yogurt. Staff was friendly

Small option for breakfast Hard to find a parking spot in the street.

The staff could not get my "keys" to stay active. We had to return to the front desk to get new "keys" everytime I arrived at the hotel. They would activate the "keys", I would use them once and they wouldn't work the next time...They even came to the room to test/reset the lock itself, but NOTHING work. I'm glad I was only there for 2 nights. We had 2 rooms, the issue was only with one of the rooms. Breakfast time was CRAZY busy!!! The selection of hot food was okay, not great!! Fruits, bread selection, and coffee were great! The temperature in the 8th floor hallway was about 80°, not very comfortable when the temp outside is 55°. The save in the room did not work. I told the front desk, but they didn't seem interested or ever did anything about it!!!
Clean, very close to Georgetown, the Capital, and everything DC has to offer

The door can't be closed quietly. I am sure it's a security thing but we tried to be considerate of others sleeping.
Breakfast included and their service was exemplary. They were always cleaning, emptying garbage, and filling anything that was empty.

The bathroom door lock was missing the knob to hold it, but was still functional.
It accomodated our family of 5 very well. The facility was very clean and updated. Staff was great and very helpful.

The window shades were so odd - I didn't like that they rolled up from the floor, rather than opening vertically.

I just did not like that there were paper plates and cups, plastic cutlery. At the end everything was dumped in one trash bin together with leftover food.
Breakfast was really nice. Every day different choice of warm food.

Parking is damn expensive, we had to pay anyway for it in the facility nearby. Staff was not very friendly.

The pool is pathetic - a tiny rectangle in a dank basement with no natural light. And the advertised lobby bar/cafe does not exist, although it appears that it used to. That should be taken out of the listing.
Room was exactly as expected, with a comfortable and functional pullout for a third person. Great location, easy driving distance from the mall and surrounding attractions. Lovely staff, good breakfast.
