Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Need 24 hour free coffee and creamer not just 1/2 and 1/2, need a better breakfast more selection of hot foods, needs a hot tub, need more places to charge phones in the room, and a fire place in the lounge would be nice.

We were hot at night and could not figure out the air conditioner.
We absolutely loved the shower! The room was clean and fresh, Plenty of towels.

Sales staff response
Over all experience was good. A little disappointed in the sales staff getting back with me as we didn’t have an official block but had many people staying on site . I had questions and left many messages with no call backs. The girl working front desk was working her tail off and doing best she could. Our room was delayed being ready and we didn’t get in til 5 minutes before my daughters reception started. (5:20)! Applause to front desk staff although. Room was great, didn’t have breakfast.

I knew parking would be a minor issue..I worked it out...Only thing I dislike about newer room designs are the all purpose non-carpet flooring...
Considering the recovery from Covid Breakfast offerings allowed for many choices..Attendant was very helpful.

I think that $130 to stay in Carmel is a little bit too much, I would be happy with $100. Also, the breakfast was not as great as used to be, however, I totally understand the COVID situation.
The staff was awesome, the room was great, the location was beautiful.

No local maps to help navigate the city
It was the best we've had while maintaining Covid precautions for all. The Jimmy Dean sandwiches and Activa yogurt were excellent.

Really nothing
Appealing to the eye, which is a must for me. Great facility for lounging and breakfast. The best breakfast in two weeks of traveling. Hot breakfast sandwiches and a variety of prepackaged items, too. Swimming pool is open! Staff were very helpful and friendly

There were several small rubber bands on the floor in the room. My guess is they were used for braces. A 17 year old was manning the front desk alone on his 3rd or 4th day of work. He went looking for an adult to poor me some wine and couldn't find anyone. I don't care about the wine, but do care about his safety alone with no back up. The hotel only had a few cars in the parking lot, but the room above us was occupied and noisy.
The location was great as it was close to family. The breakfast choices weren't great due to Covid restrictions.

I booked a King /sofa room and it was confirmed via email. When I arrived, I was told I had changed my room to a double queen which I had not, and showed my booking email at the counter. I was then charged $25 to get my king room back.

This Hyatt Place has absolutely ZERO soundproofing. We heard everything. The sounds of the highway traffic to being able to hear the person above us urinating in the morning made me feel like I was back in my cheap college apartment not a Hyatt Hotel. Doors slamming and people yelling up and down the halls added to the unrestful stay. We will not return. Also, the front desk staff could use a class on how to properly communicate (smile) and greet people upon check-in and check-out.
Hotel was located close to food and shops.
