Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Leave coffee and hot water in the morning instead of putting them away after breakfast.
The staff did above and beyond. Our flight was red eye and arrived early and we asked the front desk if it's possible to check in early just and they said they will try their best at least at noon. so, we waited at the lobby as breakfast was getting ready to put away, one of the kitchen staff, I wish I remembered her name was awfully nice and serve us breakfast. That was a great start. We knew then that we booked at the right hotel. We are a member. I booked 2 reservations. My sister and mom also arrived early. And, we asked for an adjoining room, and they said, it's not available. So, finally our room was ready and belly full. We went to our room, and I saw it was an adjoining room. The cleaning crew just got done with that room and I asked if its empty and available and they said yes. Nice housekeeping crew, very polite and accommodating. So, I went down to the front desk and ask if we could have that room and it is ready. She said, somebody is checking in that room. So, we were bummed. My elderly mom and we waited at the lobby for at least 30 minutes then the front desk said that the manager said we can have the adjoining room. Yay!!! What a fabulous start. The breakfast is impressive. The only negative is the coffee. Most hotels we stayed; coffee stays out all morning. I mean, we travel a lot for work. I don't speak for me but for the flight attendant that came in at 9.10 and everything was put away to include the Coffee. She was not happy, she said she is 60 years old, and she need her coffee lol. I love the location because it is short walk to my daughter that lives in the Bevel Apartment. The reason, we were there is because she graduated at CUNY Law on the 23rd. Some of our family member stayed at other hotels in the area and ours is the best of all. We are pretty happy and satisfied from our stay. Great Staff, very clean, great selection/ choices on breakfast and great kitchen and housekeeping staff.

Everything was fine. But be aware, after 10 pm you cannot get anything to eat nearby.
Location and -for NYC- AFFORDABILITY with nice rooms.

They started putting away the food and coffee at straight up 9am. When they still had a lobby full of guests. Not even the coffee and creamers.
Nice room, bed was real cattendants. Pleasant front desk attendents.

Sofa bed for the 5th person worn out and noisy. So much plastic garbage at the breakfast. How to help here?

Location- very near a number of subway lines and quick to get to JFK and to Manhattan. Area around the hotel had a great coffee shop, independent bookstore and was within walking distance of MOMA PS1

Nice clean, comfortable hotel room. There was 3 of us in a room so the sofa-bed was used, which wasn't bad! Breakfast was a fairly typical American breakfast, constantly restocked and cleaned, with slightly different options per day. Concierge and housekeeping teams were very helpful and kept rooms clean every day. Good location - lots of local food options, quieter and comfortable, with easy access to Brooklyn and Manhattan too.

Breakfast was a bit crowded and not much variety. It ends at 9am M-F. Our room faced a small overpass which sometimes shook the wall if I was leaning on the bed to read. There was only one chair in the room.
The room was comfortable and quiet with a decent amount of space. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bathroom had a nice shower and plenty of room for cosmetics. Room was very clean. Windows had shades to block out light at night. It was very close to the subway on different lines.

There is luggage storage room, and the hotel charge for each bag.
Recommended hotel for Manhattan visit, two subway stations near the hotel. The hotel is nice and clean, breakfast was included which saves cost (NY food prices are high). The staff was nice and helpful

Poor sound insulation (road noise, corridor noise), breakfast bad in European standards but average in America. Breakfast room crowded and badly designed (guests bumping into each other when picking up food -> eg. waffle station should be somewhere else!)

Being an out of towner, i would’ve expected more guidance, from the facility. I wanted to travel around New York City, using public transportation, but i didn’t get any guidance from the people who worked here. I’ve never taken public transportation before, but i assumed that the front desk could’ve guided me in the right direction, but they were just as clueless as i was. That was a huge disappointment.
We enjoyed the continental breakfast, each morning. Our room was decent.
