Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe breakfast was a little disappointing -- we've stayed at Hyatt Place before and were always please with the quality of the food -- but I assume that the limited offerings may have been due to COVID precautions.
Great location for everything we wanted to do while in Richmond, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space in the room for my family too.

United States of AmericaI’ve seen better from Hyatt Place hotels. The room could’ve been a lot cleaner. Stain on cover. Rust on window seal. Carpet not as clean as jr should be. Sofa has stains and shower took 13 mins to warm up.
Location was great.

United States of AmericaDated room. There wasn’t any bar soap. Staffing issues may have contributed to the overall service. The room needs a good facelift.
The lobby was nice, and the size of the room. The room had a comfortable bed, a spacious shower.

United States of AmericaI hated masking under the supposed Covid threat. We never did that with flu season or Ebola. No microwave in the room. The bath/shower design is not friendly, I am 5'10", 188 pounds. Getting in and out/off the seat is a squeeze. Closing the door; ridiculous! Other guest smoking marijuana on the location was a nuisance. It carried in the hallways.
Breakfast was Covid restricted; it was not what I am accustom to at a Hilton facility. Boiled eggs, no meats -- not my idea of breakfast. The bed was very comfortable -- at home comfortable. My wife said I fell asleep quickly, although I was tired from 6 hours driving, the comfortable bed was a welcomed extra. The suite was clean and smelled clean. The location was conveniently located, pharmacy, car wash, restaurants within 3- 4 miles of this location.

United States of AmericaWe stayed in an accessibility room and there were some issues. The room smelled wet the entire time we were there. Maybe they shampooed the carpets before we came, but it kept the damp smell the entire trip. The mattress is way too soft, which makes it painful and very hard to move around in and get out of. My 75 year old grandmother struggled to get up because it was too soft. The pool railing is not cemented into the ground and may be dangerous for someone. With the amount the room costs, the facilities should be on top-top shape.
Great location and very spacious rooms. We searched all over for a hotel with a handicapped room and low bed. Finally the kind people here assured us they had one and even allowed me to look at a room before booking. The staff were excellent. The breakfast had a variety of items and was delicious. The hotel was very clean (except for the elevator and the smell in our room- read below)

United States of AmericaReservations was the worst. They charged my card before I arrived. And When I changed cards, and went into detail of what my needs were. They continued to charge the same card. Then they double charged the second card, causing my bank account to be overdrawned. I was very disappointed with reservations. They couldn't seem to get their system to be in present time. Secondly, my room was never cleaned during my stay. On a positive, everything else was amazing, very friendly staff in every capacity, room spacious and comfortable. Pool amazing, I will stay again, Just know that my stay has to be reserved with only one card
Breakfast was great.

United States of Americawould never book here again.
Always ran out of plates. Staff didn't speak English and didn't understand us when we would ask for plates. Jessica the cook was amazing though. She was the nicest staff member there. I would never book here again. Room was dirty. Found clumps of hair on bathroom floor. Red ants in the bathroom and my husband got bit by them.

United KingdomI made a reservation at Hyatt Place Arboretum which was ‘confirmed’ but upon arrival was told that there were no rooms available. The reception front staff (Tomasa) and the central reservations team made no effort to help - in short, they were first blaming their own system bug, then suggesting it was Booking.com error - this is totally missing the point that there is a customer late on Wednesday night in need of accommodation. Eventually, they offered to book me to another Hyatt Place at a rate available at the time, which was significantly higher than the original rate, which I declined and decided to make alternative arrangements. Overall, this was an appalling customer service from Hyatt - zero care for the customers who chose their brand. They will only care if you book directly with them, but if you resrve via booking.con be ready for ‘get lost’ type treatment.

United States of AmericaPaying for parking. My poor rating is because of the $8 per day plus $1 surcharge for daily parking. The only time I have EVER paid to park at a hotel was in DC and National Harbor because of the parking garage and limited street parking, etc. Hotel staff should be able to explain why paid parking is necessary. I would be hesitant to stay here again because of the paid parking. I will be making many overnight trips to Richmond due to my AAU schedule but I will avoid this location.
Beautiful property room was immaculately clean. Room smelled fresh, linen was fresh. I don't think I've been in such a clean hotel before.

United States of AmericaParking fee was a cash cow. Lots of room. Terrible WiFi. Glasses and cup filthy. No room for a desk and chair so they wedged on an old wooden desk in front of the refrigerator. Both together were unusable. Terrible value for the price. No reason to ever return with so many better options in the area that I am sure will be of better value and much more sanitary
