Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaHonestly, for our stay, I didn't find many downfalls. The only thing, is that many hotels haven't upgraded their TV's yet to have for example Chromecast or Airdrop functions. That would be super, especially when travelling with little ones :)
Loved the spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds and overall fantastic stay. Clean and very friendly staff welcomed us. Parking was easy, right outside the hotel and we were allowed to bring in our precious senior dog. Our dog is a huge part of our family so it was amazing to find such a nice hotel, also welcoming pets.

United States of AmericaDoor key card didn’t work. Had to go to get it redone NINE times in four days. The heating system thermostat is not hooked up right. The heater function works well, but when it reaches the assigner temperature, instead of stopping and waiting for the temperature to drop naturally (a feature of every thermostat I’ve seen over the years) it turns on the AC, which then blows freezing air into the room. The only solution is to turn the system off manually and wait until you are cold and then turn it on again. I’ve mentioned this four times before, and it persists. Why don’t I go to another hotel? Because it’s Davis, CA, where there are few choices. Last: in the elevator, there is a poster urging us to try the “curated breakfast.” The breakfast is a standard hotel breakfast: dry, cold scrambled eggs, drippy, half-raw bacon, a very limited choice of bakery products, mushy frozen berries, and empty coffee and hot water urns. I think you need a new “curator” or perhaps a manager who cares, given that the breakfast may be the most salient memory of your guests as they think back on their experience.
Location. Staff. Pet friendlyness.

United States of AmericaThere was no shower gel in the dispenser in the shower and only one bar of soap to use at the sink. We could never get warm or hot water from the bathroom sink.
Room was clean and bed comfortable. There were plenty of clean towels. It is nice to be able to get fresh coffee downstairs in the morning. Staff is friendly.

United States of AmericaFor what I was paying, I expected a spa as well as a pool. In November a hot tub is great way to unwind.

United States of AmericaBreakfast selection was only OK and ended early for anyone on vacation. The website says that there is an onsite restaurant and even gives examples of food available. There is not an on site restaurant. After breakfast the only thing available is a small selection of drinks and some cookies. Smaller selection than most hotels that just have a small sundries store.
The room was very comfortable. The location is fantastic for visiting Davis.

United States of AmericaThe housekeeping was behind and delayed check-in. It ended up being only 20 minutes, and the staff was super nice about it. I will check the area to see if I can do any better for $300 per night.
Clean and excellent location. It was easy to get to, and I felt safe. Breakfast was good but only decaf in the lobby? There is a Peetes not terribly far away.

United States of AmericaEverything was wonderful except for the loud noise above our room, both nights, but was crazy loud the second night of our stay. We called front desk but it didn’t stop. Went on for an hour plus at 11pm. Sounded like kids perhaps playing video games w headsets on as it sounded like stomping and running.

United States of AmericaBreakfast offerings could be better. The eggs seem to be made from powdered eggs which is not appealing. Hard boiled eggs would be an easy good addition. The mixed berries were still frozen, again not great. All of the bread choices are plain white breads and bagels. Something with whole grains would be nice.
The location is great, close to the UC Davis Veterinary Hospital where our dog was being treated. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe light in the toilet/shower room was about 15w - I could barely see. The closet is ridiculously small, with an ironing board taking up a lot of room. The water tastes awful - I had to use bottled water to make my coffee in the room.
Great location while visiting UC Davis with easy freeway access. Nice breakfast with lots of variety. Quiet room (top floor). The bed was very comfortable. The shower water pressure was good.
