Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We parked Valet, checked right it, grabbed a cocktail and walked with it straight up to our room. Settling in was so easy and really set the tone for our weekend getaway.

Wish it had a microwave and an actual fridge, that’s the only thing.
It’s a quiet nice area for Portland, a clean,cute hotel.

The location is walking distance to the MODA center which was so convenient for us concertgoers! The facility was clean and comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.

There is no room service and the little market at the ground floor of the hotel closes at 10pm.
Great location by the Convention Center. Easy transportation to the city. Comfortable bed and room.

Parking was confusing unfortunately. Where to turn in isn't exactly super obvious and had to call the property to figure out how to park. That was my only complaint.
Very clean and a nice property - loved the room and the view was spectacular. Lively hotel with free yummy drinks and games, felt nice and high class. Nice secure parking and LOVE having to use your key card to access the upper floors.

This may have been due to the app I was using, but getting to the hotel was a bit difficult initially. However, we very soon figured out an alternate route than the one my navigation app was suggesting. Just a tip for others, if directed to take NE Hasslo to NE MLK Jr Blvd, dont, always take NE Multnomah to the hotel valet area.
The hotel was in a great location to many local restaurants and bars. The interior was very well decorated with an incredibly spacious lobby. The room was nice and spacious and was very well lit with a comfy bed and sitting area. We also had a really nice view of the Convention Center from our room, which lit up beautifully at night. The fitness center was clean and well equipped. Overall, really nice hotel and would consider staying again for future trips to Portland.

Surrounding area outside of the hotel is scary because of the rampant amount of homeless people with mental illnesses who were aggressive towards my elderly mother and my children.

The area was close to our event which was awesome but the Portland streets are just terrible! It’s so sad to see all the trash and homelessness everywhere, even near this nice hotel.

Didn't like the air conditioning unit as it was creating noise in the middle of the night switching on an off. Bath door opens by itself
