Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room was very small and rundown, we upgraded to a larger run down room. Bathroom was gross, small and filthy, needs some serious work. I love the authentic look and feel of the place but you can keep that and still make upgrades. There's about 20 coats of paint on the bathroom walls and the shower is like a coffin. Also there is no "beach" present. There is a small sandy area by a swampish stagnant area that you can not swim in as it's rock filled. Looks cute but not a beach, children will be sadly disappointed.
The location was nice, the pool was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. The Stoned Crab restaurant was good. The breakfast was pretty decent for free. Loved the turtle sanctuary, the McCaw birds on the property and the general vibe.

United States of AmericaThe table tops and the bar tops were not clean and sanitized. They had ants crawling over them. The rooms seem like they have never been updated since the place was built. I went in the public bathroom first thing in the morning just as it was being unlocked. It was not cleaned from the day before or at the start of the new day.
Location was great

United States of AmericaSuper tiny bathroom for 4 people and no mirror in bedroom so 4 people getting ready was difficult. No microwave in room so leftovers were wasted. Beds not too comfy. Would be ok for 2 people but not great for family of 4
Great amenities on the grounds and things to do. Good location away from downtown

United States of AmericaOur A/C unit was noisy. The bathroom door 'dragged' on the floor, so we had to lift a bit on the door knob to avoid the noisy scraping of the door on the floor. Nothing too major. If you are looking for a high end resort, this is not it; it is an older, somewhat dated resort. It was overpriced even with staying during spring break 'prime time' in my opinion. That said, we did enjoy our stay.
Our unit had a patio that was just steps away from the water; there was a sandy area with palm trees and a hammock that provided a nice place to lounge. The pool was nice and was located right by the restaurant with access to the bar. After battling the 'downtown' parking the first night and paying TOO MUCH money for parking, we utilized the 'short bus' transport from the resort; it was a welcomed break from the traffic and it was quick and efficient with two drop off/pick up locations.

United States of AmericaThe beds were uncomfortable, small shower and a/c units really loud. Music by the pool was very loud and not a great playlist
Location was great, close to attractions. The shuttle every hour was a wonderful bonus. The pool and bar were very nice. Food and drinks spectacular. Clean rooms and the rest of the resort was very clean as well

United States of AmericaWe had sand in our sheets when we got there. One day we were out of towels: I asked 4 times (including the front desk) to get more. I got them from a housekeeping zoned in a different area who was very kind!
The shuttle service, shark feedings, jet ski tours, restaurant: were all amazing!

United States of AmericaThe room was small and the queen size bed wasn't very comfortable; we really need a king bed. The bathroom was quite dated, although clean. The TV was tiny, not that we watch much TV and they do offer Hulu, but with commercials. We also didn't like being near a main road and at the end of the row of bungalows so we heard the maintenance trucks go by in the morning.
The location had a lot of positive aspects, fun color schemes, some beach front on the bay; a nice inlet where they feed sharks and you can use kayaks. They also have mopeds and bikes for rent. We loved the hammocks on our little patio outside, and that we could walk to a shady spot and relax reading and looking at the water. Breakfast was also good and we could park right outside our door. We also appreciated the shuttle bus than runs every hour to downtown Key West.

United States of AmericaThey looked like they tried to update but things ending a little wonky, like uneven, lumpy backsplash glass tile used for the bathroom vanity surface. The grout in the bathtub surround has mold. It makes it feel old, not quirky or vintage. There were bugs, like fleas or gnats, in the room, likely from the beach patio and the birds that beg there. TV was a little small for the size of the room.
The shuttle bus was helpful to get around the old part of town. The staff were friendly. The island theme carried through the property, and the art in the room, including palm fronds painted at the ceiling, was nice. Wifi was strong most of the time. Maintenance came quickly for a minor tv issue. Shark feeding at the attached restaurant was fun. Continental breakfast was good.

United States of AmericaBreakfast offerings (with the exception of fruit and hard boiled eggs) were of lesser quality; it would be nice to have some non-sugary cereal, plain oatmeal, and plain yogurt. Music around pool and restaurant should be more varied; after a few days, the repetitiveness starts to get to you!
The grounds are pretty and the pool is lovely for swimming. Enjoyed kayak and bike rental on site. Mini fridge/freezer in room was nice to have. Shuttle bus to and from town was very convenient.

United States of AmericaSome of the staff was not very friendly. The food at Stone Crab was not very good. There could have been music at Stone Crab and I seen a screen at the pool area, so maybe a movie night.
The shuttle ran on schedule. The room was cleaned daily. Nice to have coffee every morning. Some of the staff was very friendly. The pool area was clean and had plenty of lounges.

United States of AmericaThe room was not worth what we paid. No microwave, and no coffee pot. Sheets were dingy. Everything in the room seemed outdated. The room was on the beach, which there is a small bank with rocks beyond that. No swimable area, very rocky and dirty water there. Seemed like false advertising.
We liked facing the water.
