Ingra House is simple, clean and calm place to stay in Anchorage in walking distance to the downtown. The stuff was friendly and gave me advice about where to shop and travel. I liked the shared kitchen so that one does not need to dine in a restaurant each evening. Shared bathroom was not a problem, I never needed to wait for it.

One of the staff members seemed be unfriendly. Never said hello and was always on their phone. Rooms could benefit from some ventilation as even in the winter, the room became hot and stuffy really quick. There must be some trust issues with the guests as it seemed like there were an excessive amount of cameras on the premises.

You might have to wait for a bathroom. I wish the toilets were seperate from the showers so you don't have to wait for someone to shower when you need to pee.

Ingra House is nothing special, but it will meet your needs. It's clean, comfortable, safe and an easy walk into town. I would stay there again.

I'm a light sleeper but forewarned about possible traffic noise and to bring earplugs. So no complaints.

Location was good for me as it was very close to the Enterprise Car Rental that I was picking up the next day. It was a little bit of a walk, but I could walk to main Downtown area and back. The room was good for the price. Shared bathrooms were clean. Shared kitchen small but good if you needed it. Everything was as fully described and forewarned. I had credit card and phone issues and couldn't get hold of Max to let him know. Praise the Universe, Max went against policy and had not given my booking away as he was entitled to do. Major relief and super grateful!

The room has a comfortable bed. There was also a fridge in the room. Lots of cupboards. Although the bathroom is outside the room, it is very comfortable to use.

The hotel is in a location surrounded by car dealerships. It was about a 20 minute walk to downtown.

The staff were all terrific. The cost was economical.

The bed was a bit on the soft side, but still ok. The hotel is further out of downtown than I ideally would have liked. However, as mentioned in the hotel's description, it is in walking distance (about 15min) and there is definitely not other hotel with the same value for money in the downtown area.

The hotel had everything I needed. I especially liked that there was a fridge in the room and I also used the were washers/dryers. The room was a really nice size. The woman at reception was really friendly and welcoming and happy to answer any questions I had. I had no problems with the shared toilets/showers. They were clean and I could always find a free one.

Rooms were very hot. Most windows didn’t close properly which made it very noisy overnight from the main road. One of the bathroom doors didn’t lock properly- still secure but slightly unnerving.

The smell was pretty bad, the place was clean but it didn't smell too good, but some febreeze helped.

The bathrooms were clean, and the security is really good.

The staff were so nice and offered to let us keep our bikes in their storage closet overnight. There is also a full kitchen and we were able to cook breakfast at there.

Everything was as I hoped for a hostel.

Clean and tidy. Everything worked. The full kitchen on each floor made it easy to cook your own meals. Good quality hostel. I appreciated that staff warned me that the neighborhood had problems with homeless population and recommended I not walk in the evening. I didn't experience any problems.
