Our first room smelled like smoke so they moved us to another room. I was afraid it was going to smell like smoke but luckily it didn’t. The bathroom had dusting of mold.

The beds were comfortable. You get what you pay for. It wasn’t expensive just under $100. The man that checked us in was very kind and helpful.

There was a cockroach in my bathroom. This was upsetting.

There was a picture on the wall with a big chunk of glass broken out of it. Tile grout in the bathroom around the tub was somewhat moldy.

Quite clean, coffee machine. Had rather low expectations given the reviews, but the motel and room are just what you expect of an American motel (in a positive way).

The manager and staff that were there when we arrived were very unpersonable and lacked customer service skills. It might be a culture thing as they seem to be from Jamaica or Barbados. But they were cold and rude. Both manager and women behind the desk couldn't look up our reservation because my last name was entered first. Instead of being professional and figuring out the error, she questioned our reservation and acted like we did something wrong. Our room then wasn't ready, after I had called to make sure it would be, and was told it would be ready by another employee earlier, that had no problem looking up my reservation. We waited about a half hour in the lobby with no information, as the women at the desk blankly staired at the computer. Strange. I think a smile, communication, and some kindness would have went a long way. The staff seemed to be irritated and annoyed by customers. Their was no happiness in that hotel, just dry expressions and bad attitudes.

The room was a decent size, yet needed a new bathroom. The toilet was old and ran for a long time, and the sink and bathtub were dingey and needed updating.

- Outside lights were not on in the parking lot or building when we arrived around 7pm - wall paper inside lobby and in the room was peeling. - looked like the upkeep of this hotel was not a priority.

- The value was great for the area. - We were able to book last minute (literally) and apparently just prior to the hotel being fully booked. - Proximity to attractions.

$100 security deposit was blocked on my card - no clue why, other hotels did not request such a deposit. 3 days after my check-out I called them to release, they said they can not accelerate this. Eventually it was not released for more than a week (!!!) after my check-out! Outrageous!

The property was a bit disappointing and looked tired. The fact that housekeeping did not fix the issue with the one bed was upsetting.

We spilled something on the one bed and I told the front desk but no one changed the bedding on that bed. It did not look like they had mopped under the bathroom sink in a while. The spa was closed and that was one attraction we wanted to use.

The room had an odor possibly from previous smokers, stains on the lamp shades and curtains. The cleaning staff did not check to see if we needed fresh/new towels, cloths, or bedding, they also never came by to empty trash cans. There also wasn’t a phone in the room.

Check in and out were equally quick and easy.

I did not like the sloppy job in the bathroom walls. For example the grout applied on the edge of the sink counter and wall and in the shower walls look sloppy and unprofessional. Adding to that the sink faucet is lose, the bathroom door is peeling off. There is a poor maintenance administration. I have paid the same amount of money in other places with a higher maintenance in facility.

It was quite. The room was clean. Good parking space. Accessible and close to other places. Slept okay.
