Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe only challenge - it was in my email but I never read it. The entrance is kinda like a secret nite club. You enter through a private road, pull up to a gate get your welcome package and gate code with check in instructions and you’re good.
This is a very wonderful and unique hotel. All rooms are one of a kind.

The pictures do not capture how beautiful the accommodations and property are. This is an oasis. The scent of blooming lavender and citrus trees enhanced the zen vibe of the property. Our accommodations were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location is a convenient drive, Uber or bike ride to town or vineyards. I can’t wait to return and spend more time here. Definitely someplace I will return again and again.

United States of AmericaThe check in process didn’t say to look for instructions at the front gate. Also the suite name booked didn’t match the suite I was assigned. Kind of confusing.
The room was very nice, space was quiet and tranquil.

United States of AmericaNot sure why there wasn't maid/cleanup service even once in the 3 days. Maybe COVID?? Just expected it and was a bit disappointed that they never entered the room once to refresh coffee, etc.
The cottage was spacious. Everything worked. It was clean and well equipped. The pool was refreshing, clean. Property is very well kept.

United States of AmericaTruly nothing.
Pictures and a brief description can’t convey the aesthetic and energy of the Main Lodge and surrounding amenities. I’m not a ‘pro’ reviewer, but our group was so affected by our time, that I feel compelled to try to convey why we enjoyed our time together in this special place. Set doubts aside - the Main Lodge is a true work of functional art, assembled of wood, iron and glass in a way that honors the craft. The whole site is a study in aesthetics. The suites are modern and sublime - quiet, private, and totally complete. The common area’s beams, fireplace and windows invite music and conversation. A huge natural-edge table seats everyone comfortably - open the French doors and let the evening breeze move through. The kitchen is high-functioning and has literally everything, including lots of every kind of wine glass. The pool, with its big ‘jumping’ rocks is one of several remarkable outdoor spaces created and defined by light filtered through redwoods and oaks, wrapped in the aroma of expansive lavender and rosemary borders with exclamations of artichoke and succulents. It’s a world all it’s own, but literally around the corner from anything you may need. Take your Paso agenda and cut it in half - nothing else you’ll do in the area will affect you with the calm and relaxation you’ll experience ‘in paradise.’

United States of AmericaThat I had to ever leave.
This is a dreamy zen property with dg pathways snaking around under shade trees and alongside beautiful plantings and fruit trees, wrapping around three buildings with various suites, with a beautiful lawn, garden, and unheated pool in the center. There are too many relaxing amd unique seating areas to count! And I won’t give away the greenhouse surprise! Our Antonio Gaudí suite was three level with mid century furniture, amazing woodwork and art, cozy and clean bedding, and a rock shower. We even had our own patio and porch out through a back door. Oh, and a reading/chill tower loft with a view of the countryside. Microwave, drinking water crock, a larger frig than a standard hotel, and good coffee/tea.

United States of AmericaThe furniture seems to be a little outdated. They might need to do upgrades soon. The property rarely has employees working there. We are fine during our stay that we don't need extra of anything. Not sure if it's a bigger group.
The Inn is very quite and serene. Maybe there were not too many rooms booked during our stay which is a bonus for us. I love the size of our room & the bathroom. The jetted bath-tub is the winner. The location of the Inn is ideal. We only need to drive less than 20 minutes. The only exception is Hearst Castle but it's not bad at all.

United States of AmericaIt was a little removed from downtown, which is fine if the payoff is a mountain view or animals or something else a country cabin could offer.
I love how unique and charming this place is. The artist studio was cozy yet spacious and nicely decorated.
