Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe neighbors were replacing their roof and the workers arrived early. BUT there was ear plugs provided at the bedside.
It is so close to some really good restaurants!! The Corner Kitchen and Jay’s Seafood were just blocks away. It is in a normally quiet neighborhood. And you have designated parking. This is our second stay and the staff was just as friendly as they were last year.

United States of AmericaNothing no complaints. It was a 10 out of 10 experience for us.
The lady at the front desk was very friendly. She made us feel so welcome. The room was very nice. Bed was warm and comfy. Bathroom was spacious. Loved the spa tub. Jay's seafood, that's right by the hotel, had amazing seafood. They had a parking spot w our last name, hill, saved for us. My husband and I would definitely stay there again

GermanyUnfortunately, the room we stayed at was not good for my allergies. It's a very old building and I think the room needs a paint and some refreshing as the walls are a bit old and musty and for me I was not able to sleep next to the wall. There's a lot of dust on the windowsill so if you have allergies this could be an issue. For the price, I would really expect the walls to be painted and fresh otherwise they're very musty.
The lady who runs the place is very nice and super helpful and I absolutely loved that they had wine tastings, which was super nice after a long drive. The living room is very cozy and the breakfast is basic but nice and included cereal , coffee, muffins, toast. The location is absolutely fantastic and you don't need to drive anywhere and we went to the Irish pub down the street for dinner which was super good. We had the whole upstairs part which was nice and spacious with plenty of room and it was clean. The bed was very comfortable and it was so cute that they put little soaps and things in the bathroom was good overall.

United States of AmericaThere isn't anything I would change about this place. It met my needs perfectly so I can't really offer any negatives at this time.
Super cute room, it was a lovely place to stay. They had a parking space right out front for me, a lovely wine bar, and there were plenty of great places around to go eat or drink if you wanted to! It was a fantastic place for me and my girlfriend to enjoy time together.

United States of AmericaStairs were a little steep going up to the room---when I'm older that's going to be a problem for me!
Very handsome, comfortable, welcoming, relaxing place. Leslie and Jeff were great hosts, very friendly and outgoing. That the place doubles as a wine tasting place is fun. The house is obviously built solid and did a pretty good job of keeping the noise out from the street. Loved using the turntable and spinning a few old LPs while reading in the living room.

United States of AmericaI can't think of anything that would have improved our stay. Leslie was very responsive when we requested additional supplies.
Location was fantastic. We walked most of the time. Great restaurants in the area. The inn was wonderful. It was an easy check in even though we arrived late evening. We appreciated the coffee maker (and coffee supplies) in our kitchen area and the continental breakfast in the common area was nice.

United States of AmericaIt would've been nice to have a corkscrew around somewhere after hours since they are already encouraging you to buy their wine, and there was a little bit of dust here and there. The important things were all clean though, so I'm not complaining too much. The only other thing would be that the internet was insanely slow, but that seems pretty typical.
The staff was insanely nice, especially the owner! I also loved how charming it was and the little wine shop downstairs was nice! I also enjoyed the anytime breakfast options. I never like getting up at like 7am for a free breakfast on my vacations so it's much appreciated! Also I loved the spa tub!!

United States of AmericaSteep stairwell to our Oporto room in this 1877 built home, but to be expected. Parking spaces are narrow for larger vehicles.
Host and owner Leslie is very personable , friendly, and welcoming. The home is a short two block walking distance to restaurants and a vibrant happening. Guests include local friends from the historic district neighborhood to enjoy a glass of wine from a well stocked 'wine only bar', which speaks volumes. 😀 The Oporto Room consists of a bath, kitchen, and comfortable bedroom. Excellent choice in every sense!

I just happened to book a night here while passing through. I didn’t realize what a hidden gem this place is. We had the room with a jacuzzi tub and it was great. The host are great. It’s within walking distance to a little downtown area with the street blocked off. it had a bunch of Restuarant’s and other shops although mostly bars and restaurants.

United States of AmericaNothing I disliked.
Leslie the owner welcomed me like I was a long-lost friend. The apartment was very comfortable, the breakfast assortment was abundant. (Who told her that I like Raisin Bran, a ripe banana, coffee, and fresh orange juice waiting for me in the kitchen when I arrived?) Plus, for wine lovers, she and her husband have a delightful retail wine store/wine bar. It's located in the hip and historic Oregon District which has some of Dayton's finest restaurants right around the corner. I had a three day meeting at the Dayton Convention Center which is a few blocks away.

United States of AmericaIt was fine for us, but it is not handicap accessible. I'm not sure if that is mentioned in the property description. We loved the upstairs room and how quiet it was.
We loved the historic house and its location in an historic district of Dayton. The hosts were really friendly and made sure that all our needs were met. The woodwork detail, original to the mid 1800s, was extraordinary. We had a large suite with a kitchen, bath, and large bedroom. We even watched our grandchild's high school graduation many states away on the streaming TV. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood in the evenings. The Oregon District is full of historic homes.
