Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

People let there dogs poo anywhere and did not pick up after them. My friend stepped in it Our room was closest to the highway so it was noisy. This was really not the fault of the motel, just saying.
The location was good. It is a motel. I was not expecting a 5 star experience. The beds were comfy and the room was cool. The carpet was questionable!

The property is very dated and gloomy. The beds are comfortable, however, the pillows leave much to be desired. The bathroom gives off horror movie vibes with the lighting, cheap shower curtain, rogue hair on the wall and small stain on the wall between the shower and toilet (eww).
The lobby is clean and airy. The staff extremely friendly and helpful during an impromptu stay. The access to the freeway and restaurant is very convenient. It was also a bonus that no flooding occurred in the parking lot or building during very heavy rains.

I stayed one night and saw about 10 roaches and bugs. I know this is an older property and you get what you pay for. Other than this the room was fine.

The Roaches that kept coming out in the bathroom, kept having to fix toilet handle. When told front desk seemed like I was not taken seriously and blown off
For most part it was clean, location right off freeway and Dennys right next door

The room was very dated and seems like it hasn't been renovated in a very very long time. Things were rusted, and generally very highly used.

Well, I placed the room online and then when I got there. They said they didn't have any breakfast in the morning. And then when I got to my room. They didn't even have a microwave or a refrigerator so that really sucked. So they should let us know online that we will not be having a shopping. Our room or enjoying breakfast in the morning.
The staff was was nice . I ordered a room on line an did not have A refrigerator or microwave, and then also on top of that, they didn't have any breakfast.

There were cigarette butts everywhere, at one point my husband & I were in our room & the entire room smelled of marijuana. It was sketchy.
The location was great. We had easy access to Market Street & Cynthia Woods.

There were plenty of roaches in the room. The air conditioner was either full blast or off, with no way to change it. There was the ability to do laundry but I wasn’t told about it until I was checking out.
It was relatively quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the water was hot.

Pool closed and green like it hasn't been cleaned. Trash bins around property overflowing. Ice machine on 3rd level wasn't working. There was dog poop mounds everywhere.

Desperately in need of a remodeling. Railings rusted, sideways broken, AC barely cooled. One of the worst la Quinta's I've ever stayed in. Just worn out and outdated!!
