There is no elevator. Not a problem for me but my sister had a big suitcase. Luckily a staff member carried it up and down the stairs for her. We only had to ask at reception.

Walls are thin and floors and stairs are creaky. Can hear a lot so bring some ear plugs. I thought the price was a little high for my room with the shared hall bathroom.

Good location and close to Harvard museums and Harvard Square. Room was cosy and bed was comfortable.

Irving House at Harvard is a welcoming, quaint and cosy place to stay. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathrooms (including the shared bathrooms) are immaculately clean. The location was perfect for us, as it was in an easy walking distance to Harvard University and the Charles River. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I love the green frog ornament in the front sitting room and the beautiful flowers in the flowerbed outside the front entrance. The complimentary coffee and biscuits available throughout the day in the front hallway, was appreciated, especially when returning from a busy day out. We also appreciated the small complimentary gifts at the front desk. I highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast and would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was lovely each morning. The staff were VERY sweet and gave us umbrellas to use, recommendations for sites and restaurants, and were overall very welcoming. We loved this Inn! It is right next to Harvard and is full of charm. We will be returning in the future!

The building is older, so the floors were a little squeaky, but there isn’t anything I can think of that could fix that.

The staff were very pleasant, and everything was clean and comfortable. I will be staying here when passing through again as it is a good value for the Cambridge area.

A very good place. Clean, pleasant, and quiet. A great convenience is the all-day access to coffee and tea, as well as cookies. The breakfasts are very tasty and varied. Very close to the center of Cambridge. About 20 minutes by subway to downtown Boston.

It's a charming old inn in a great location with great breakfast and cozy sitting rooms with lots of good books and magazines.

Staff was very helpful. It was definitely a long time ago that I last used a shared bathroom, but this was very clean, always available and they always had spare clean towels in the bathroom. They put attention to the breakfast, one of the better ones I had in the US. Probably not to the taste of Europeans or Asians, but that’s cultural difference.
