Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was noise coming from outside all night and fighting most of the night. I noticed security but security did NOTHING. Microwave made a noise.

My room was cleaned only once for four days. The hotel has no security guards. Insecurity is high.
I had no breakfast. I was told the kitchen was not functional.

They did not resupply me with coffee or shampoo. One day's worth was not enough for a four day stay.
It was convenient to get to places from the hotels location. The beds were confortable and relaxing. Everyone was friendly.

The incident was on the ground floor and the parties involved were arguing and screaming at each other very loudly. Is there a protocol in place on how staff should respond to domestic disputes between clients?
There was a domestic violence incident in the room next to mine. I understand that guest behaviors should not reflect the establishment however, that situation frightened my daughter and I.

There was no input button on the tv in order to turn my roku on ! How can a tv now have an input button ? Also the people they allow to hang on the property sometimes late night are a bit shady. Never sure why they are there but it’s usually some shady dude smoking a cigarette and always has something to say every time. It’s a different person every time. I have stayed there about 10 times in the past two years.
Convenient location to echostage venue. And good pricing.

Too close to a noisy train. Although this was a non smoking room. It still had minor odour of prior smoking and there were sign of old cigarettes left to burn in the bathroom .

It was too noisy. It looked like someone had slept before us and the bedsheets weren't changed.

Dirty. They did not do a good job of cleaning. Tub had a hairball in the drain and they didnt sweep anything. Also stains on the bed.

The location is horrible. When we arrived it was long to check in because there was a woman that seemed high that was complaining about something. There was people shouting and when we left in the morning, I was scared to get into the car because there was a man that was walking slowly near my door that also seemed on drugs (we're young people that like to party and we're not snob at all, but that was scary). The room was not that clean, the microwave had some things burnt into it, hair in the shower and the soap used by previous people was still there. Not a smart TV and we couldn't plug our PS4 to watch Netflix cause you have to go on an Internet page to get the wifi. Plugs near the bed were not working properly.
The bed was clean and comfortable. The room was pretty and big, so was the bathroom but for the size of it the shower could've been bigger it was very small. Staff was okay.

Someone came up to me while I was outside my door and asked me for heroin. There was a homeless camp about a 1/2 block away from the parking lot entrance. Most of the staff didn't greet or say hi.
The room was clean including the bathroom area. WIFI was easy to access and was reliable. The parking lot was well-lit at night. Pretty close to the attractions I wanted to visit.
