The beds in the Englishman room were small in my opinion. I’m 5 foot 10, so of average height, and I found the bed to be small. Also found it to be way too soft, but that’s a matter of opinion.

Everything from the staff, the facilities, and the amenities were excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

The property was absolutely amazing from the views to the attention to detail for cleaning. We at at the poolside cafe and the food was great.

The hot tub was cold water instead of hot. But this is honestly the only thing I could complain about!

The staff was amazing from the very beginning. Very helpful and accommodating! Steak night was wonderful, the best steak my husband ever had! Kids loved the creek and the pool. Very quiet family atmosphere. The views were amazing! We will definitely be back!

Its really hard to say anything negative but if I had to pick then it would be just to have an updated coffee maker with pods for individuals. Kinda tough to share coffee with people who like it differently. Nothing big!

Our room was not as advertised. We paid for a deluxe king room and it was two twin beds pushed together.

Room was a little on the small size. Bathroom and shower were small with the sink in the sleeping area. Water pressure was not adequate.

Like the pool area and the grounds. Did not partake in the shooting sports but they look appealing.

The room was smaller than expected without a desk, closet, dresser, or place to put a suitcase. The bathroom was tiny with only a shower. Lighting was very weak and there are no windows so room was dim. In addition, the cost of about $200 puts it in the category of much nicer options.

Location was a mixed bag - it's in the middle of nowhere which gave solitude/quiet but also made it hard to go and come since there is no food option on site (unless you pre-order). It is 20 minutes on small country roads from Boerne and 30 minutes from Kerrville, the closest towns with shopping/eating options.

There is no mini fridge in the room. This would have been helpful since the remote location meant we had to travel a ways out to get food.

Breakfast was not available on Monday or Tuesday. But, the breakfast served on Sunday was great.

The long haus rooms are tiny and cramped. Not worth the price. The day room for the long haus was full of ants which we just happened to bring home with us. Would recommend Tapatio springs for anyone going to Boerne Texas this time of the year.

Loud door slams early in morning shook the room. On check-in, they told us breakfast did not need reservations. Then, the next morning, the staff working the restaurant told us we needed reservations. And then, with a very empty room and empty lodge, turned us away despite the availability of tables and food. (Theoretically they could have spared a couple eggs and pieces of bacon, we thought.) Not very hospitable especially considering the staff giving different answers and the “lodge newsletter” showing breakfast as “reservations recommended”, not required. SO confusing, frustrating, and inhospitable (esp so early in the AM after being woken up by the early door slamming)…considering we would have made other arrangements for breakfast if we had known.

Pool and pool-side bar were awesome! Beautiful land and peaceful (when there’s no shooting going on)

The dining breakfast menu did not include healthy choice options. Additionally, there is no fitness facility or GYM and SPA for the women.

We love the scenic view, private and clean room room, facilities and activities and natural beauty of the property. Its a wonderful place to unwind and relax.
