The pool was plain and on the small side, but it was what we expected from other reviews and we were therefore not disappointed. I do wish we could have brought the pool chairs to the beach (or have access to others) but it was still a great stay.

The views were incredible - we had a studio with an ocean view (not ocean front) and it was perfect! The room was bigger than we expected and very clean. The Murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable and everything was well stocked with dishes, cookware, sheets, towels, etc. The location was great and within walking distance of restaurants and general stores. We took the bus into Lahaina from the bus stop a couple hundred yards away - $2 each and a very easy 30-minute trip.

Room overall dirty, even the beds. One foldaway bed and one sofa bed. The sofa bed had to be put on bed linen ourselves which allowed us to be witness of all the dirt on top of the mattress. The foldaway bed showed mold at the feet. Mold in bathroom was simply covered with paint. Mattresses were a nightmare. The surfaces of the rooms were not cleaned. They were sticky and sandy.We cleaned all the surfaces in the room ourselves to at least feel a bit more comfortable. Furniture, carpet outdated. Room needs a renovation. Location a bit far to visit Haleakala or Road to Hana.

the rooms was a disappointment! Booking.com you really had me on this one. of all the times I’ve booked with u in the past. I never once was dissatisfied. this one at the kahana beach resort. you lost me and my business. I am here to warn folks before spending any of their hard earned working money for a nice vacation to please book with another site and do not book this resort! everything in the room are old. a serious upgrade is needed. be careful because it will ask to pay upfront. but when u get there you will be surprised. don’t be like me. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

the studio should not be an accommodation at the kahana beach resort. it was the worst I’ve ever experienced. tried to upgrade to a single bedroom to no avail. don’t let the bed information fool you. I am a person of size. 240 and over the bed they offer with a thing called a mattress will never get you a good night sleep. your back will be hurting from it. I have photos to alert folks of this property. it saddens me of how much I spent at this resort and was miserable the whole stay. I booked two rooms. I am very upset with Booking.com with info on this property UPSET AND DISSATISFIED DISSAPOINTED!!!!!

If you book through booking.com they will give you partial ocean view rooms although most of the rooms are ocean view. The staff does not care if you request early or on the property.

The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. The second night we tried the sofa bed and it was nearly as bad. Additionally, the shower was broken and the staff did not believe me until I brought them the shower handle. It was such a rough place to spend 2 nights and I’m so glad I didn’t reserve this place any longer. This quite possibly would have ruined our trip if we spent more time here.

Ants in the kitchen and inside the coffee machine. Uncomfortable and noise Murphy bed (pull-out bed)!!! No cleaning services at all, unless you stay there for weeks!! Balcony door very noisy when windy, if you're a light sleeper you won't like it. No free coffee refills (coffee pouches) except for the ones you'll find the first day.

Got charged 155 dollars extra for each room after check out with no notice or anything as to why is shady.

Being right on the beach and only a 2 minute walk from a bus station was nice. The staff was exceptional and friendly.

I made sure to specify there would be 3 of us. No pillows for 3rd person. No towels for 3rd person. Why bother to ask for all names occupying the unit if you cannot provide for enough linens beyond a 2 person occupancy?
