Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe pod itself has a wooden sliding door and it can feel a bit stuffy. Just something to consider.
Very helpful staff, privacy, everything you need in your pod (light,USB charger, outlet, air fan). Bagel in the morning. Close to public transportation to downtown. Good neighborhood. I felt safe alone at 9 when it was dark as a female.

ItalyThe noise of the air circulation inside the pod was too loud, the size of the lockers is way too small, no elevator

United States of AmericaThe kitchen is tiny and in the basement. Area to sit down is on the first floor. It does look like they are in the process of building a cafe in the common area.
Great location. Nice people.

ItalyBreakfast was included but I had barely a coffee because all the bagels were always out of stock by the time I went to have breakfast (8-9 a.m.) so maybe they are not enought for all the clients and the little room underground is so small and creepy. At the reception there isn't always someone for check-in and check out, I had to go finding someone to let me collect my backpack that I stored in a locked room.
Location non very central but in front of one of the entries of Central Park and 3 minutes walking to the metro station. Very easy to enter the building, it's always open. I liked the privacy and the cleaned bathroom inside the dormitory. Very usefull the common area and the tank with free water.

United States of AmericaThe pods do not lock, they do have a system to lock, but it doesn't work. Small lockers are not big enough to store a regular carry on.
The location was exceptional, close to the subway, and right next to Central Park.

United States of AmericaThe showers were extremely small, 2x2 feet. There were no paper towels in the bathroom which was used by many ladies at once, so the counter was always really wet and you couldn’t set anything on it. You had to use your one towel for everything. One towel for FIVE DAYS. They wouldn’t even give me an extra pillow to prop up in bed, so I had to use my rolled-up clothes. Even though I never let it touch the floor or my feet I contracted RINGWORM ON MY FACE. This means it was either already in the towels, or on the walls where the towel hooks were. Imagine starting a new job the following week with a fungal infection on your face. I’m still trying to get rid of it. The breakfast was personally disappointing because it was only bagels, cream cheese, and coffee (I can’t eat bread, and I’m allergic to dairy and coffee.) it would have been nice to have some fruit. There were also a LOT of fees, making the rooms seem very affordable at first, but ultimately I think we could have stayed at a hotel for not much more. I was on the women’s floor but one morning I walked into the bathroom to find a male custodian. I was in my underwear. There was no mention of when the bathrooms would be cleaned or by who. Also the beds are not for tall people. The tallest member of of group (6’ 2”?) said his head and feet touched the ends of his bunkbed.
I liked the privacy and quietness of the pods, and how you could adjust temp and lighting and charge your phone. I appreciated there being lockers in case you had to room with a stranger. The location was great with restaurants, bodegas, and the park nearby. I liked that they took our photos for safety.

United States of AmericaI came to New York specifically to sleep in the POD and was not disappointed. However, the ladder to the top bunk is dangerous. I missed a step, failed, and sprung my finger. There were no face cloths or bath towels. Transportation from the Amtrak train station costs $60 by Uber. It is cheaper to use the subway, which only costs $3.25.
The POD is a unique sleeping unit; I love the high-tech panel. The place is very secure and clean. The folks are friendly.

Austria- when you are in a 4 people room - there s always risk of noise by people coming in the room at night or preparing their luggage cause they leave hotel during night - 1st night was terrible loud cause of a guy who started to prepare his luggage from 23 to 2 am, was phoning... and left at 4 am, ... 2nd-4th night it was fine = hostel should communicate this - that people should be aware of this - its up to the people you share the small room - there s no lift - so if you are on 4 th floor with luggage its a challenge - air condition is old and loud - so if you have a thin sleep - bring your ear plugs - small ockers but with no lock = u ve to bring ur lock = all your valuables, money, camera... u ve to take with you
+ Location - its 20 meters located from Central park, safe clean area + next Metro stop is just a 150 meter walk + very nice, friendly reception welcome, beautiful reception area , + quick check in-out, nice main room to stay, and eat or watch tv, free water + luggage storage for free + free bagel-coffee breakfast + stabil WIFI + mixed age people - which is very nice and diverse + small but free kitchen area with all facilities and equipment to cook + nice hidden condo

United States of AmericaThere wasn't a great variety breakfast food. Storage in frigate was impossible due to disarrangement of food old and new. Most of the rooms on the top floor were top bunk bed more for senior citizens.
location was important to me for traveling and this hostel did not disappoint. The room was a good size with locker for personal items. Had to ask for an extra blanket for the night due to air conditioning.
