It still looks pretty old and run down, but the renovations are helping. The neighborhood around it does not seem the safest. For the price I'm not mad at it.

The place is being renovated so it's old looking on the outside, but the inside is nice it's pretty secure as well. It's in a good location being close by the highway so you're not too far from most areas. It was clean and overall pretty enjoyable.

The only issue we had was the staff checking us in did not have a the correct information about the federal ada laws regarding service dogs after giving her a law card and explaining the laws she was very helpful and got us check in very quickly

However, the TV did not work. I was not in the room much, so that did not affect me much, but it would have been great to turn on the TV for a minute when I got back to the room.

My husband and I have walking issues. Lots of walking even though given closer accommodations. Breakfast was ok, but would have been better with Belgian waffles.

The TV in the room didn’t have no cable or no form of entertainment. The room needed some beverages or snacks for the room.

The bed was clean and comfortable to sleep in also the room temperature was good too. The restroom was clean and proved with cleaning supplies and towels.

I would ask that you add regular tea to the options. You only had decaffeinated. I know it is a small thing, but I need that caffeine in the morning.

I read reviews after I booked this place that made me nervous about what I would walking into. I was very pleasantly surprised. I am a business traveler for over 10 years and have stayed at MANY hotels. For the price, this hotel was great. I would compare it to a Hampton Inn. My room was large and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly. During my stay, I saw staff hanging art work and other improvements. It looks like things were recently renovated and work continues. I saw people complain about the breakfast, but I always see a free breakfast as a bonus. I did have to giggle at the corn dogs, but I saw young people eating them up. I would stay here again.

The breakfast could have been a lot better! Choices was very little. The sat strawberries out on a paper plate. They could have cleaned the room a little better. I had to clean the shower before I got in it. There was pieces of paper on floor.

The room was nice size and they were cozy. It was about 20 minutes away from everything I was looking to do. Ameristar was only 5 minutes away.

The breakfast was okay. I would say add more items to the breakfast menu. Maybe boiled eggs, and donuts. Also offer cream cheese for bagels, and ketchup for corn dogs. They were regular corn dogs. Not breakfast ones.

The beds were comfortable. Definitely plenty of parking. Location was easy to find. It was close to the places we were visiting. We would definitely stay there again! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

My first impression wasn’t good. It’s not in an area that looks very safe. When it came to checking in it wasn’t very pleasant. The employee was nice but the issue was the rule in which, there was a requirement for the ID of everyone staying in the room which is absolutely ridiculous. You should only require the ID for the person who the room is under. Then I entered the room and it was clean but there was an issue with the room. I had booked a room with a king size bed and got a queen. I had also booked a room where there was supposed to be a microwave and fridge and the room didn’t have either. Once we used the sink of the restroom we noticed that the water wasn’t draining at all. We had to find a way around it. And also the moment we used the sink a couple bugs came out of the sink too.

The room was not finished yet (no table, phone, toilet paper dispenser, etc.), not a king bed as advertised (was reimbursed $20) because staff said Booking did not allow them to adjust the listings, similarly - had only a shower when listing said bath (but there was strangely a bath tub head. We were afraid the water would overflow), the alarm clock was sticky

Away from the busy parts of the city and in a quiet location, the staff was friendly, even though there were parties happening in multiple rooms - we could only hear the partiers when they were in the hall

Everything about is wasn’t great. I paid for a certain room. First night I got put into the wrong room with wrong bed size. The rooms smelled like cigarettes. The lobbies & hallways smelled terrible.

Our room had ants near the window, the mattresses were subpar, and the breakfast selection was subpar. We grabbed a cup of coffee and went out for breakfast. The hotel looks like it was under renovation, yet poorly inadequate, even the paintings (artwork) in the room were hung upside down. They had a sign in the bathroom, stating don't flush even the toilet paper down the toilet (Eww)!

The location was convenient. We traveled 10 hours from Michigan for a family funeral and promised an early check-in when we arrived at 1:30 p.m. When we arrived we were told we could not check in. After some pleading, the manager, Andrea granted us access to our room and reservation. Thank you Andrea for your understanding.

Not the cleanest, found trash from last person staying. “Free Breakfast” is frozen and prepackaged Walmart food (literally every thing was still in the Great Value boxes)
