Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe pool bar attendant, unfortunatetly, seemed like she didnt know what she was doing. Made our drinks wrong multiple times (and they were the specialty drinks on their cocktail menu) and the Strawberry daiquiris were waterdowned and had no flavor to them.
The front desk staff were amazing! They helped us with many things during our stay. The room was phenomenal!! Being able to eat breakfast at Tavern n Town was nice! Food was one of the best breakfasts on the island!

United States of America"Beachside" wasn't quite accurate. On the Gulf side with very minimal beach access. In room jacuzzi didn't work. (No, we didn't bring it to staff attention)... it's right as you turn on the island. Just a bit inconvenient to anything to do downtown. They do, however, have a free hourly shuttle with two pickup points downtown.
Friendly staff. Good rate. Room was beautiful!

United States of AmericaI didn't like how expensive the hotel food was. Very over priced food. I wish they had better options for dinner especially for kids. The furniture in the room was very brittle and the door handle fell off. It would have been good to have more supplies in the kitchen for their for their hotel suite like paper towels pots and pans
How big the rooms where and location I also like the free shuttle services.

United States of AmericaDuring our stay, tree maintenance and beach maintenance was non-stop during the day. The pool deck was noisy and littered with droppings from the tree workers. Areas of the pool were closed during the multi-day maintenance. The wood chipper was placed 50 feet from the pool and was LOUD. Heavy equipment ran up and down the beach area outside our balcony every day placing sand on the beach. It removed any peace and quiet available during the day.
The restaurant at the hotel, Tavern N Town is one of the best on the island. I can't say enough about the food, service and atmosphere. It's top notch! The complimentary shuttle service was excellent. The pool bar had great food and servers. Beautiful surroundings and in general staff were excellent. The manager was very attentive to my needs.

United States of AmericaThe pool could be cleaner and the music was all country. It was pretty bad. No real staff diversity. The cleaning and maintenance crew where mainly Black and the customer facing staff were all white. No diversity here. I would not recommend this space if you're a POC like me.
The staff was great. The food at the poolside restaurant was amazing and the staff was great.

United States of AmericaThe Marriott Key West Beachside Resort was chosen for our stay, based upon the Marriott’s historic reputation, along with its ‘beachside’ claim. In both cases, they didn’t measure up. Our Presidential Suite facing the gulf was ample in size and the furniture, bedding, etc. was first rate and that’s all good. Where they failed is in the overall upkeep of the unit. The outside railings are chipped and showing their age. The light fixtures are rusted and in need of replacement. The shower light is also badly rusted, while the handles for all of the kitchen cabinets are peeling, cracked and painted over several times. These should all be replaced with new. The ‘beachside’ reference is simply a matter of false advertising, as there’s no Beach, but rather a strip of unkempt sand overlooking a barrier wall that sits between two docks. If you are looking for a true beach, then you’ll need to look for hotels on the Southernmost side of the Key and not here.
The pool is a nice size, but get there early as it quickly gets crowded. The ‘complementary’ shuttle service (you actually pay a destination fee of $42 per day, so the term complementary is a misnomer), runs right on schedule and is a real plus for getting to and from Duval St. Some of the staff is quite friendly, but a good percentage needs to be retrained in the art of customer service.

Room was small but comfortable and clean...Pool was great but seating was limited. Personnel at Pool Bar were great. Dining Room bar area was great...TJ the bartender was very nice and hospitable with great personality. Only problem was that it closed every afternoon. One afternoon, the pool bar was closed due to storm and inside bar was closed. We could not get anything to eat or drink on the property all afternoon. Breakfast Bar was great! Shuttle service was excellent and very on-time and accomodating.

United States of AmericaWe thought the beach was an actual beach that you could get in. It was just a view and I’m not sure I would really call it a beach, more like a bay. We have never been to Key West so we didn’t realize that the island really doesn’t have beaches.
We had breakfast several times during our stay. It was good food. Nothing special. Breakfast tacos were the best. The staff was excellent. AMAZING customer service and helped us with every need we had. While it was expensive, I think the service made up for it. The pool bar was a great feature. You could spend the entire day in your chair having food and drinks served right to you.
