The room was tired. The shower needs work. A light in a closet would not turn out. A cab that was to be called by the hotel did not show. Probably not called based upon info from front desk.

The staff was helpful and knowledgeable and the location was ideal.

Rooms are incredibly outdated and not quiet. The location is great, but comes with the downfall of street traffic noise at all hours. I could easily hear all guests on my hall coming and going, talking, tv, etc. Very few amenities in room (only decaf coffee, 2-in-1 shower products, no microwave).

Amazing location within walking distance to some of the best restaurants in the city, grocery and convenience stores, parks, and the streetcar.

No cafe / refreshments available onsite which was a shame. Restaurant wasn’t open every night. Area was ok, but definitely would not walk alone at night.

Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was also a good size. Lots of storage space. Coffee making facilities. Very quiet. Restaurant was very nice, but rarely open.

Great location, convenient to streetcars, museums and restaurants. Just a short walk to the French quarter. Our room was huge and we loved the traditional decor.

The rooms needed some updating. The main electrical outlet had two bad plugs out of four. The staff would sometimes not leave soap or right number of towels. The bar soap was only good for two days. We purchased our own bar soap.

Prime location between French Quarter and the National WW2 Museum. Very close to street car stops going west or east. Staff was very friendly.

It's owned by Wyndham, so you can expect a generally lower quality hotel. I had a balcony room but I couldn't actually access the balcony. Some fixtures were rusty, there are no robes, showers are cold, I had to request soap for the room, etc. The biggest issue is they charged my card the full amount of stay some ~6 months in advance; I've never had a hotel do that before.

I like the old fawlty towers vibe and the location is great.

The water in the shower could have been a bit warmer, and the wifi wasn't very fast.

I arrived at the Lafayette after a long journey, quite a bit before check-in time. Despite that, the staff found me a free room, and allowed me to check-in very early! The room itself was also spacious and comfortable.

The air conditioning units were noisy which mad sleeping difficult. We asked to be changed to a quieter room and we're given a room two floors up in exactly the same part of the building, which was just as noisy.

Great location, great customer service. We arrived on Thanksgiving evening, Denise went above and beyond to find us a place for dinner as no one near was serving food. In the end she organised pizza to be delivered and it was delicious!!!
