Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe Bungalows were pretty old with squeaky floors and a strange smell. Furniture was pretty uncomfortable. Make sure you understand the difference between the mansion, tower and bungalows as the experience will be very different between the options. Also, why are the hotel is open I would not say it is pet friendly as there's nothing in the room that could possibly be used as a pet bed nor were there any dog bowls or other pet amenities. Make sure you bring your pets set up with you
Great location close to everything in Montrose neighborhood. Fairly easy to walk around the neighborhood. Hotel does allow pets, which is great.

United States of AmericaThe food there used to be fantastic. This time, not so much. The cheese charcuterie board was subpar. although the cheese selection itself is not bad, At a minimum, it should have included a chutney. The truffles on the corn risotto were completely tasteless. on the last two trips, I was charged for a mini bar item that I did not eat. that is more than a little annoying.
cleanliness and staff. World class in both departments. Sergio at the bar is a gentleman and amazing mixologist.

United States of AmericaThe snacks and drinks in the bungalows aren't complimentary. The valet doesn't make much effort to help with the luggage for my daughter and I...even when I had requested so...I just wish there was more privacy with the curtains in the living room...
I love the eclectic decor, the open space, the quite neighborhood, the balcony with the chair and table...gives a romantic New Orleans kinda vibe...the art...the easy access to great restaurants and the Galleria isn't far...clean ..great snack bar and drink choices. .I went for a bigger room this time since my daughter was with me...I stayed a couple weeks ago on my own...I like that there were 2 bathrooms...decent sized kitchen..

United States of AmericaI didn't like how difficult it was to access the gym. My key card wouldn't always work the elevators or gym. I would have liked if the curtains in the bungalow weren't so see through. There was a dog always roaming around and barking loudly. Sometimes you can hear your neighbor walking up and down the stairs. Wish there were more bottled water choices...and more diet drink choices.
I loved the property overall. The building itself is a work of art. The gym was well equipped with nice cardio machines(treadmills,elliptical,1 stairstepper, etc)weights, boxing workout machine,a room for stretching etc... The restaurant had great choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The staff that I came in contact with were helpful and friendly. I loved the water fountains in the bungalow area where I stayed. Easy to receive uber eats too. Nice area to run or go for walks. The had a nice assortment of snacks, drinks, and libations. They offer a complimentary drink upon check-in. People that live in the residence area were also nice and friendly.. Great views on the 10th floor. Complimentary coffee and tea before or after working out near gym area.. Great work space on the 10th floor. Lovely pool. Donald(from Scotland) a night server at the restaurant provided great service. The bed in my room was massive.. The shower was big with moderate pressure but hot water. Makeup towels in the bathroom. A bar to make drinks with bits and bobs.

United States of AmericaThe location makes the hotel a bit challenging to access, but it's worth the effort. And the Tower is far enough away from major roads that traffic noise is not an issue even on the ground floor. Not sure about the Mansion (never stayed in one of those rooms).
I've stayed at a lot of the finer hotels in Houston. La Colombe d'Or is my favorite. It's such an usual blend of early 20th century Paris and modernism. The bar and restaurant strike me as places Hemingway would have appreciated, and the Tower will attract aficionados of modern art. The ambience and attentive staff create an intimacy that puts you at ease and makes you feel at home. I've stayed there many times, and plan to return many more. NOTE: this is not a party hotel. It is quiet and elegant (at least during the week - I've never stayed the weekend). And I hope it stays that way (@the_party_crowd)!

United States of AmericaI would have liked to have known that our bungalow was two stories and that it was separated from the main building (a block away).
The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly throughout. The main building, restaurant, bar and grounds are very charming.

United KingdomWe thought our suite room would have a separate bath but there were two floorplans in the same class, one with one sink and a bath and the other with two sinks but no bath at all. Perhaps these should be separate room classifications. Our living room was quite narrow for the large furniture in it (stubbed my toe getting by the coffee table!). Some fittings in the public bathrooms need re-fixing. Otherwise, clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed the hotel, restaurant, environs and the hotel gym, especially. Staff were very kind, particularly the car jockeys. Trainer George 'Coach G' was a real bonus. Comfortable bed and bedding. Good aircon.
