Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had a king size bed that badly needed to be replaced and the pillows were not up to par for this hotel something you would find in a motel 6. All the same caliber hotels we have stayed in over the last couple years have the updated new type mattresses that are thick I can usually tell by hotel photos if the beds have been updated clearly these haven’t and very uncomfortable my back felt it.
Location, large room, large bathroom, air conditioner worked great important in Texas heat. Decent breakfast. Linens were thick and plentiful.

No plug for the bathtub in our room, the coffee maker was broken, no black tea bags available. I requested a cot which never arrived.

We didn't find the use of disposable cutlery and dishes environmentally friendly.
We came here to view the solar eclipse, and found the price very reasonable (we booked half a year in advance). Our room was adequate size for the four of us and clean. Breakfast was satisfying, especially the make it yourself waffles. On the other hand, we would have appreciated more variety, like more cheeses. Also the fresh coffee corner was very nice.

The toilet in the initial room I was placed in kept running and kept me awake all night. I had to get up and shut off the main valve so that I could get some sleep. I did notify the front desk person, and she told me that their mechanic has gone for the day, but she will notify in the morning. As I was staying 3 nights, it was ok with me, but I really think they should have immediately moved me into a room with a working toilet, so the reaction time was unacceptable. I never did find out if the toilet was fixed as the next day I was moved to a different room. From then on everything was top notch. Thank you
I like the breakfast options and selections.

Toilet didn't flush very well and the water in the shower and sink didn't get hot

The people who had the barking dog that was in the room next to our room should have been put in a more secluded room with no people in the next room. And the pool area was totally beyond its capacity and of the 2 nights I was there w my grandkids I only saw 3 children (2 of which were my grandkids) go to the restroom.
Breakfast was an A+ because my grandkids were hoping there was going to be waffles and you had 2 varieties. The location was awesome as well since our main sites to see were Dino World, Dinosaur Valley and Big Rocks Park.

Breakfast could have been better watery eggs and DENSE biscuits.

We didn’t like that room had a slight mildew smell. There were no fans in the restrooms and we did notice a few spots of mold around the shower area. Also, in one of the rooms, the metal frame that holds the window shade in fell apart the moment we touched it and looked like it was only just positioned a certain way to stay in, not fully attached. We only stayed for one night, and none of these things prevented us from staying in the rooms. Had we been in for a longer stay, we might have asked to switch rooms or have the window shade frame fixed.
The indoor pool area was well kept and very clean!! Overall the property is very quiet and family friendly.

They had a hard time keeping up with the coffee demand, and you know those little machines in the room are useless unless you are a fan of tinted water. Breakfast was fine, but so many people meant they ran out of eggs right away and I chose not to even try to get in line for a waffle. My tip would be to plan to eat elsewhere, otherwise it's a fine hotel.
The room was clean, the staff was working hard to keep everything going. Even though this is a very busy hotel, every staff member I encountered was very nice and helpful. Every La Quinta I have ever been to has always been that way. They do have the best operational policies regarding pets, last minute cancellations if you have an emergency in the middle of your trip, etc. I know because I have had to use them. They are always understanding.
