We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

There was noise in the hallway by other guests ALL NOGHT LONG!!!! We couldn't sleep. Also there was dirty washcloths from the previous room guests still hanging in the bathroom. I called for someone to clean and remove the towels. He mentioned that he was the only one on staff smh

Undergoing refurbishment on some floors , however it was reasonably contained ...and the builders were discreet.
Good ,competitive rate . Nice room with fridge & microwave . Bed & linen good. Breakfast was more than expected . Very polite , helpful staff .We would stay again .

They didn’t provide us with wash cloths, it was very run down, the sheets on the bed didn’t fit so they kept coming off. Very annoying.

First room had no power . Second room was okay until I flush toilet and went to wash hands and yellow stuff came out of the faucet 😭 not sure if it was pee . But overall convenient for price .

The Breakfast could be better hot…. And I asked for king and they put me in a double bed which was way too small because none of the other rooms was clean and when I booked I booked a king and that was not what I got when I got there.

This inn needs upgrading.
First of all let me just tell everyone...THERE WERE NO BUGS OF ANY KIND. MY ROOM WAS CLEAN AND HAD NO ODOR. The mattress wasn't too firm or too soft. I felt warm and cozy! The desk person was very pleasant and accommodating. I liked her. It's not the most updated inn but it was o.k.

Outdated facility, functionally obsolete features, too much deferred maintenance. (Tape to secure wood floor panels???) Poorly lit entryway to parking lot. Probably decent in its day...20 years ago.
Move the trash can or have multiple containers.

The hotel was clean but there was blood on the lamp in our room, When we went to turn on the lights they were all unplugged or you had to turn the switch multiple times for it to come on. It could use some foundation maintenance. In our room it felt like you were walking up a little hill, and our chair rolled across the room because of the dip in the floor. We had 4 rooms and in 3 of them when we turned on the water it was brown but quickly cleared up. (We did not drink any of the water or use the ice machine) Overall a nice stay though and it was close to the spirit of Norfolk.
The breakfast was NICE! They have a waffle station where you make your own large waffle, or 4 small ones. Boiled eggs,breakfast sandwiches, yogurt cereal etc. The front desk staff was very nice and welcoming. The rooms,lobby etc looked like the pictures. The windows opened in the rooms so we were able to enjoy the nice fresh air while we were getting dressed.

The choice of bedding should be better suited for allowing a warmer or cooler option not one or the other. Other than that the beds were comfortable for the price range i was in.
The room was pleasant but the beds were more Full size than the Queen so i guess that's a double? Breakfast was great always fresh food and coffee and plenty for all. The bed didn't supply enough warmth with the a/c coldness it was either freeze or sweaty!

I did not like the breakfast options offered in my stay. There were only plain things like toast, coffee, cereal, and fruits. There were waffle machines but only 2 machines so of course everyone is wanting that to eat since there’s nothing else. The wait just to make them was super long, the coffee tasted weird/bitter, the waffles didn’t even taste too good and weren’t a lot of tables available in the lobby.
The room was pretty nice, the bed/pillows are absolutely comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful too

The bathroom is very tight and small. Our sheets had a stain at the top of the bed near the post. While I didn't see any bed bugs, I am glad I had the stay with me because there were water bugs in the bathroom.

Floors were so dirty in the room, it made our feet turn brown. Location is convenient but very noisy since so close to the interstate. If you’re a light sleeper, this could be a problem.
Great value, pool was nice and staff are so friendly.
