To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

PhilippinesThe room I was given had locked, frosted paned windows so I couldn’t see any view of the outside even though it was a beautiful day. Reception encouraged me to sign up for their loyalty program, which I did, but neither I nor they could get their app to work after several attempts.
Almost across LaGuardia airport, free shuttle that leaves every half hour, big & clean room, decent wifi, in-house resto & bar, decent menu & drinks selection

The nicest staff!! the rooms are always super clean and the location is perfect for those in for a quick business trip as it’s so close to the airport you could even walk there…however, they have a shuttle so that’s another plus!

United States of AmericaThis hotel was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and well lit when needed and nice dark shades for night. The staff was helpful and friendly. We were there over the Christmas holiday and I was impressed by how welcoming the staff was despite giving up their holiday. The breakfast at the in-house restaurant was so delicious. Also, huge shout out the food truck right outside. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we stayed a little longer than normal at an airport hotel and it was a great stay.

United States of AmericaWaking up in the dark hours (early flight out) to put makeup on for my wife was a challenge. Even the bathroom sink area could use more lighting to make it brighter. Same with mirrors. You can put a full length mirror on the side of the one cabinet housing the coffee maker. The shower could use some form of shelf to set a bottle of shampoo or razor. Also, I'm sure the sheets were clean/laundered (or we wouldn't have stayed) but with the worry of bed bugs in some hotels, we travel with a black light to inspect the sheets. You may want to do the same because although washed, the sheets under light have numerous stains. Perhaps a different detergent that removes "those" kind of stains. You are a Marriott affiliate.
I really liked the spaciousness of the room. Loved that each side of the bed had a nightstand but you truly need better lighting available in the bed portion of the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Thankful for the space to put our suitcase opened and still have a desk area.
