Cute vintage-style resort Inn with multiple buildings that is clean and well maintained located in perfect location along a lake at the south end of the historic downtown area that is filled with shopping and dining options, all within walking distance. Resort offers a pool and outdoor bar alongside the lake and has beautiful sunsets. The Inn also offers dining options should one want to not leave the premises.

Not all Electrical outlets in room did not hold plugs. Large Closet had wasted space and would. be better with a shelf or two put in.

The interiors and furnishings are very dated. Some items need to be immediately replaced like all towels especially grey ones at the pool. Updating (not modernizing) is possible and recommended without compromising on charm.

The food was very good. We ate there for breakfast and one dinner. We loved the location, charm, pool and pool area. The historical nature and architecture is great! Quiet and relaxing. Staff very pleasant and helpful!

Although we loved our room and location, I missed not having a chair or table to sit at. I missed not having a mini-fridge, microwave or coffee maker. Not a complaint. Although those are nice conveniences, they would take away from the charm of the room.

Loved the location of our room in Sunset Cottage and it being on 1st floor. Love the grounds at Lakeside; didn't get to enjoy them much though because of the rain - (nobody's fault) Restaurant was busy the day we went for breakfast. The hostess seemed a little stressed. But the waiter we had was delightful, funny, accommodating.

The location in Mount Dora is excellent, by the lake and within walking distance of everything in the downtown area. Great parking onsite Had the weather not been SO rainy, we would have loved to go to the pool and use the bar with views over the lake.

The grounds are beautiful! Sunset by the lake was awesome! We liked having the bar and restaurant on the premises. Room was a bit smaller than we are used to!

First, at check in we were advised booking.com and their management had a clash of money owed if you have more than 2 in the room. We proved we clicked 4 people in a 2 bedroom suite with a pullout sofa. We were charged an additional $30 per night. We were also only given a room with only one bedroom. Big difference in what was advertised. So disheartening for our second visit bringing friends back for a memorable birthday trip.

The landscaping was topped by none. The sunset view of the lake was dreamy with old oaks with southern charm of dripping moss. The food at breakfast was so delicious and the staff and ambiance on the terrace was top notch.
