Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Carpets felt slightly tacky as though they need to be cleaned. Ironing board was missing and a coffee maker would have been nice, although it was available in the lobby.
The room was a very nice size and well laid out. Breakfast was nice and coffee was good. Overall fine accommodation for a few nights.

There was no hot tub the beds were hard and the breakfast time wish it was a little earlier
The check-in staff was really nice and helpful the breakfast was really good the rooms were really clean the air conditioner worked really good the whole place was really clean

Everything seemed "dated." The room definitely needed a paint job, the faucet in the bathroom leaked, the carpet in the hallways looked worn. The breakfast food was not very good at all, but it was being kept well stocked.
Room was nice and clean, employees were friendly and smiled a lot.

Very disappointed in Booking.com. I forgot to advise hotel that I was eligible for a military discount at check-in. When I asked about it a few minutes after check-in, I was told that they could not give it to me as I had already signed the price sheet. They said it was a Booking.com requirement. This was extremely disappointing after seeing all of the advertisements that Booking.com shows regarding being the cheapest solution in the marketplace. Another person in my party did get their military discount under the same reservation, which saved them approximately $20/day.
The location was excellent. Ammenities were good, breakfast was good but limited in options if you didn't want biscuits and gravy.

The key cards would not work, the indoor pool was not heated, and the internet was extremely slow.
Breakfast was great. Staff were very nice and tried to help. The location of the hotel to our destination was excellent.

Arrived at 3 pm for check in, but had to wait till 4:30 to get a room. Still had to find a maid to ask for towels for the 3rd person. There were some water issues in bathroom and they didn't want to about hear it. Not enough places to hang towels or places to put bags. With some work it could be much better.
The maids were nice even though they had had a very difficult day. Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Location was good, had food nearby too. Rest of staff did not seem enthused to have us there.

Problem at every hotel; loud guests, slamming doors at all hours of the night.
Was a good stopping point for the day. Staff at desk was friendly. Breakfast was very good.

The beds were very stiff, the pillows were super lumpy, the hotel seemed to be going through certain construction, which isn’t a bad thing, but it was not as nice compared to other LaQuintas we have stayed at.
The location was very close to many things we had to get to so that was a plus.

The beds were not comfortable for me and my daughter-in-law. If you prefer a really firm bed then you will love it.
The staff were friendly and helpful. It was located next to some good restaurants and coffee shops.

I wish the room had an easy chair. Sitting in the bed made my neck stiff.
Centrally located. Had enough parking. It was clean when I walked in. Elevators were WORKING. Room was a good size. Would have had a nice view of the mountains, but the air was full of smoke from the Texas panhandle.

No meat or fresh fruit like strawberries on breakfast bar. Also they didnt refill the coffee in the room.
