Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere is a gap under the door, so light does shine in the room at night and is easy to hear people in the hallway.
The room and the view were very nice. The bathroom was very big, especially the shower. Liked that the flooring was not carpet.

United States of AmericaThere were no plastic bags on the trash cans, specifically the bathroom trash cans. I used a grocery bag I luckily had one day, but it was thrown out the next. There is no worse feeling than dropping in bloody tampons and pads in a trash can that has no bag. That means someone else has to empty the can and I am hoping disinfecting it as blood is a huge biohazard. I felt so awful, no one should have to clean up my menstrual products that way. Housekeeping is what makes the hotel run, treat them better. The small things count.
Besides the trash having no bags everything was so clean. I worked in hospitality for a few years and do a room check as soon as I arrive. Everything was perfect and thoughtful. Even the housekeeping who cleaned our room during our stay did such a fantastic job. The front desk staff was attentive and kind. I especially enjoyed learning of the hotels history during our check in. The star projectors were such a fun touch!

United States of AmericaWe loved everything!
The staff at Hotel LeVeque are exceptional! They went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip truly wonderful. The Hotel LeVeque is artfully decorated in the Art Deco style. From the moment you walk in the front door until you arrive at your room. Every detail is impeccable, especially the star projector.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant in the building was understaffed and the food was not exceptional. The accountants charged the back up card instead of the reservation card on file which has caused a bit of frustration that didn't need to be.
Room was very clean, bed was clean and the projector for stars on the ceiling was neat. The staff was polite and went out of their way to ccomedate us. And the location in Columbus was central enough that we could walk everywhere. The bar was quiet and cozy and the bar keepers where friendly and helpful.

ItalyNothing. There are scaffolding outside the main entrance, but I guess that was related to some renovations work.
I staid just one night for a business trip. The room was very big, huge bath and shower. The building is an historical landmark and the furniture is adequate to it. I had breakfast at the hotel. I can recommend it.

Hotel LeVeque in Columbus, Ohio, recently caught my attention during a travel expedition. This gem, nestled in the heart of the city, is part of the esteemed Marriott Bonvoy program, and their commitment to excellence was immediately apparent. From the moment of check-in, the hotel exuded a sense of warmth and hospitality. The staff were not just friendly but genuinely helpful, creating an ambiance that felt both luxurious and homely. As a traveler, this kind of service is not just appreciated, it's memorable. The highlight of the stay was an unexpected upgrade to a stunning room. It's rare to find a hotel room that combines aesthetic appeal with comfort so seamlessly. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-appointed with modern amenities. It served as a perfect retreat after a day of exploring Columbus. Another aspect worth noting is the hotel's flexibility. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed to cut my stay short. The staff handled this with such grace and efficiency, showing an understanding that is often missing in the hospitality industry. Hotel LeVeque isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience that enriches your travel. Their attention to detail, exceptional service, and elegant accommodations make it a standout choice. If my travels bring me back to Columbus, there's no doubt that Hotel LeVeque will be my first choice for accommodation.
