Some of the animal mounts are getting dusty/dirty, but I am sure they are hard to reach to clean...it is an old barn.

Breakfast was great: warm muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, breads. Beautiful views. Interesting interior and history. Also was shown barn/banquet hall that is being renovated.

Lots of stairs due to different levels in the floorplan. Breakfast was good (fruit juices, yogurt, bagels, bread items with spreads). Would have liked protein & more no-sugar-added options.

Loved everything! Atmosphere, hospitality, views, comforts like home, breakfast...all of these were excellent. We were visiting our son and family who live in Barre and were staying longer than most guests. Frankie and Pierre made us feel at home during our 5 day stay. The bonus for us was getting to meet all the different guests from all over the world that stayed each night. Breakfast was lovely and delicious.

It was perfect for our purposes. Again, don't be shocked by the decor. It works.

We had a great stay at this lodge; very friendly staff, lovely amenities (full disclosure: there are a LOT of taxidermied animals on walls - be forewarned - this is a LODGE in the truest sense) but if you can ignore that, VERY LOVELY. Good restaurants just a short drive away in Barre.

The Lodge is a very special and unique place, we loved it! Large room and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast for all guests around a big table was a great way to meet people and share journey info.

Until you become accustomed to the “step down” from the bathroom level to the bedroom level you are surprised at the drop. I never fell but I stumbled the first couple times. The consistency of the floor appearance is beautiful but the two levels blend together. SI solved the problem by placing a map book against the riser so I was reminded it was a step and not one level.

The location was excellent. The breakfast was enjoyable. The hostess was very accommodating. She, Frankie, was also quick on assessment. I was alone and my heights is under 5’. She assigned me the room on the top level which was perfect for me but I could see a tall person would have to watch their head. I enjoyed the room very much.

Very nice communal breakfast in the giant barn dinning area. Had great visits around the breakfast table. Minimal intrusion by staff.......felt very homey, thus we felt at home The barn conversion is unique and we loved it. Our room overlooked a hugh lawn and part of the city

The lodge was hard to find in the dark. It would help to have a sign for Little John road at the bottom end.

Millstone Lodge is beautiful. Our room was comfortale. Breakfast was very good and having use of the kitchen was a great help. There are lovely walks from the lodge into the forest around old granite quarries.

It was lovely all around, but for me personally, I can’t eat a lot of sugar and carbs for health reasons, so a protein option for breakfast would have been great. But the breakfast looked amazing! I did have a yogurt and a little fruit since I had to go right to work. There were muffins, fruit salad, yogurts, and such.

Pierre made the best muffins. Blueberry, raspberry and maple were all outstanding!!!!! Pierre was a great host. Unique experience with a once in a lifetime opportunity to wake up in a quaint mountain location.

No problem for us as place not fully booked..but potentially the bathroom space is shared. Nothing of concern.
