Carpet in room was wet. Walls were dirty. Tub drain stopper did not work. Room was cold and there was not thermostat control in the room. The room smelled strongly of mold.

Price was better than many hotels in the area.

TV channels were very limited. On channel that I wanted to watch, I got the picture but no audio. Luckily closed caption worked.

Location was great. breakfast was coffee or hot water only. AC was great. Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful on the TV issue (see below).

The staff not readily available(when checking out they would not come to desk for us to voice concerns, was told to leave key at checkout desk) Price was not what was quoted by booking.com(paid $30.00 more in hidden charges) Whirlpool tub missing jet knobs(only had 1 setting) Toilet sprayed water while flushing. TV only had 13 channels. Pool out of order(drained and room used as storage) Broken icemaker(had to purchase a cooler from store and get bag of ice) No continental breakfast as brochure stated. Property not really close to attractions(abit out of the way) Don't plan on ever staying here again cause of price not being a value for what we got

The smell in the room. Smelled like old cigarette smell when it supposedly was a non smoking room. It was raining and the door that I was told to go in because it was closest to my room, had extra waterfall coming down in front of it due to no or gutters not working. carpet was sort of…well it was disgusting to walk on. Very old, outdated rooms. Have the old TV’s that were the big boxes and the picture wasn’t very clear. They had my name and phone number wrong when I checked in. Shampoo, no conditioner.

There are absolutely no amenities. No coffee (in room or other), no breakfast, no gym, the pool hasn't been filled in years and no room cleaning during your stay. The TV is from the 90's and there is no elevator so if you can't do stairs be sure to take that into consideration

The rooms were relatively clean and quiet. I felt safe.

The pool has been shut down since Covid. Although the room seemed reasonably clean, it is apparent that some updates and upkeep need attention.

The staff was friendly and it's in a Quiet location. Since we were visiting Relatives that live in Lodi It was convenient.

This is a $50 hotel at best. Cleanliness was questionable. They have a pool but it's empty. The lady checked me in and showed me a bunch of bruises she had. Made me feel uncomfortable.

Very old motel with no updated since I stayed there many years ago. Pool was drained, ice machine was broken no handrails in shower, fridge was left dirty. Keys didn't always want to work in doors.

Although I had prepaid for the room through Booking.com, the owner re-charged me when I booked in. I told her I had prepaid and she guaranteed that she was not charging me again. When I got home and saw the second charge, she told me I had to go to Booking.com to get it fixed, which took a few days (not a problem, as they were really helpful once I could get through).

The hotel. I didn't like the hotel. Whether it be the overall cleanliness (or lack thereof), the fact that I don't prefer curry as a room freshener, the empty condom wrapper on the floor next to the bed, or the fact that my traveling companion could access my room (#112) with the key for his own room (#107), it's safe to say that I didn't feel comfortable at Lodi Valley Suites. When I turned in my key and asked for a refund because I didn't feel safe staying any longer since my key wasn't the only one that fit into my lock, the owner working the front desk said "That is not right. He should not be doing that!" While I share in his wisdom that my buddy should not be able to enter my room, the argument wasn't whether or not he should, but that he could. I was given a refund for the Friday night that I stayed (-$69.69), but not for the Saturday night that I didn't stay ($109.70).

Ad listing stated that breakfast was included. There was no breakfast to be found. If there had been, it likely would have tasted like curry. The overwhelming odor of curry was present EVERYWHERE in the hotel. Oops, this comment was supposed to answer to what I liked. Not that I need alcohol, but the Waddle Inn bar next to the hotel was the best part of my stay.

I don't recall this happening before, but the room we stayed in was NOISY. I didn't sleep at all after 3am because of noise from upstairs- people moving around, making the floor creak loudly, and when they used the water in the sink or shower, it was so loud, it sounded like someone was in our room! The A/C was also not adjustable (or wasn't working), so it was humid and warmer than we would have liked.

We have stayed here before and enjoy it- close to hiking, etc., love the town of Lodi. Not a fancy hotel but a solid choice for a place to stay the night.
